With historical roots established more than 130 years ago, Blinn College offers a variety of academic transfer, health science, technical/workforce and continuing education courses for more than 19,000 students who attend one of our four campuses or comprehensive online programs.

credential or a college/university degree

• Complete the Blinn College Application for Admission at www.applytexas.org

• Submit TSI assessment scores or provide exemption status based on ACT or SAT performance

• Submit proof of Bacterial Meningitis Immunization

• Submit an official high school transcript, GED certificate and/or college transcripts (if applicable)

Transferring to Blinn College“Transfer students” have at least 12 hours of college credits. Fewer than 12 hours is still considered a “new student.”

Athletics…Go Bucs!Blinn athletics boasts one of the most storied programs in the country, with 113 years of tradition and pride in the south-central Texas area.

Blinn is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Region XIV Athletic Conference and the Southwest Junior College Football Conference.

Men’s athletic programs include baseball, basketball and football. Women’s programs include basketball, softball and volleyball. Complementing the athletic teams are the Blinn cheerleaders and the Buccaneer Treasures dance team. All athletic teams are located on the Brenham campus.

Student Life

Blinn College’s Service Learning Program combines community service with classroom instruction or student club activities, focusing

on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsibility. Through Service Learning, students address local needs while developing their academic or professional skills.

Blinn students have documented approximately 560,000 hours of community service valued at approximately $11.5 million by the Points of Light Foundation, and earned recognition from the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the Carnegie Foundation, the Texas Campus Compact, the Chair Academy and the Vista Program.

With more than 40 clubs and organizations from Student Government, Phi Theta Kappa, Lions Club, Choir Club to Ag Club, there truly is something for

everyone at Blinn!

Student LifeBlinn College provides a wealth of opportunities for students to grow and develop outside the classroom. Students are encouraged to participate in student clubs and organizations, the Student Government Association (SGA) and the numerous special events sponsored by the Student Life office.

AcademicsBlinn’s academic programs provide the same quality educational courses that a student would take as a freshman or sophomore at a four-year college or university, but at a much lower cost. Distance LearningDistance Learning at Blinn College is where convenience and technology bring you a world of learning options. For the person juggling a busy schedule, our flexible and accessible Distance Learning program allows students an opportunity to access an education from anywhere and anytime.

Distance Learning courses provide the same quality of instruction and cover the same material as our traditional on campus offerings. They are regular, transferable credit courses.

Online (Internet) CoursesStudents work within a virtual classroom, interacting with their instructor and fellow classmates using the tools within the online environment.

Blended CoursesStudents attend class half the time with the remainder spent participating in the online environment.
