Through a Robert Noyce STEM Teacher Scholarship program funded by the National Science Foundation, Langston is now poised to increase its production of new STEM teachers who excel in STEM core content knowledge, and whose skill sets support high quali- ty learning experiences for their students. RNTS Scholarships

Langston University's Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship (RNTS) program for STEM will recruit, prepare, and supportstudents pursuing baccalureate degrees in a STEM disciplineto simultaneously complete requirements to obtain teachercertification in Oklahoma.

This project is responsive to both the national andlocal shortage of outstanding STEM secondary teachersand to the need to diversify the teaching workforce to takeadvantage of the richness that this country offers. This project is a collaboration between Langston University (LU) and Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC).

Langston University is an integral part of the force that will en-able us to understand our universe and improve our worldthrough excellence in education, insight and invention. New minds, new energy, and new vision will create new solutions.

$10,000 annually,

Here are the tangibles that we provide:

• Scholarships up to $10,000 annually• Field Research opportunities Coaching and other assistance for required state •

teacher licensure tests• Standardized testingMentoring from instructors as well as peers •

• Tutoring and other preparations for success• Well trained faculty with the latest protocols for STEM instruction• Developmental Stipends up to $3,000 annually

Introduction to CPR-L, a teaching and learningprocess aimed at improving retention of information and enhancing problem solving

STEM Digital Village (SDV)

SDV is a website aimed towards former and current STEM scholars, including new STEM

certification in STEM disciplines.

Current LU, OCCC and eligible students from other institutions

Science• U.S. Citizen,• 60+ completed credit hours• Overall 3.0 GPA • Completed application received by deadline date

Developmental Stipends LU and OCCC freshmen and sophomores

Scholars who are interested in becoming future STEM teachersmay apply for developmental stipends and earn up to $3,000/yras a STEM tutor or research/lab assistant.

• Must be a full time LU or OCCC student in a STEM related area

• US Citizen
