The School builds on its exceptionally strong tradition in the social sciences to provide students with a living laboratory in which to study and conduct research in their chosen fields. As an undergraduate or graduate student in the Division of Science, you’ll have the opportunity to work in labs with distinguished professors who are conducting research on everything from climate change to structural biology and sustainable energy. Degree OptionsBernard and Anne Spitzer School of ArchitectureAccredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) – the only US agency authorized to accredit professional degree programs in architecture.

Approaching its 50th anniversary, The Spitzer School of Architecture is the only public school of architecture in New York City. Taught by faculty who work in New York City as architects, critics, and scholars, undergraduate and graduate programs have a strong emphasis on the urban environment. As a student at the School you will engage with faculty, alumni, and the profession at large to work on civic, institutional, residential, and commercial projects that move in new and interesting directions to reinvent the built environment for the next generation.

Transfer admission Transfer admission is based on a student’s overall grade point average (G.P.A.), including courses taken at all institutions attended since graduating high school. Admission criteria vary by school as follows: COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS AND SCIENCE AND SCHOOL OF EDUCATION1. CUNY Community College graduates.2. All others must meet one of the following criteria: a. less than 24 credits earned at 2.50 G.P.A. and meet current requirements used for freshman admission; or b. 24 or more credits earned at a 2.5 G.P.A.; or c. 0 credits earned and meet current requirements for freshman admission.
