your face your wayactivity pack
Creative Mojo and Creative Generations, a company that specialise in hosting intergenerational art workshops have got together to develop a “Your Face, Your Way” portrait community project.
We would like you to produce a self portrait which will be unified along with all the other entries to create a final communal piece of artwork to be displayed digitally.
We have looked at two artists for inspiration for this project Andy Warhol and Pablo Picasso, both of which were fantastic at capturing emotion and feeling in their portraits. We would like you to try and capture your mood and feelings about the present time to help us create an artistic interpretation of society during lock down.Creative Mojo specialises in working with people with Learning Disabilities, Dementia and Mental Health Concerns, however the project is open people of any age, ability, schools, retirement communities, parents or simply anyone who wants to get involved.
How to get involved
1) Use the templates, example pages and biographies on our two artists for inspiration in this pack.2) Create your self portrait by drawing, collage, painting or using the face element templates provided.3) Take a photo of your portrait and send to your local Creative Mojo representative, Creative Mojo head
office or facebook.com/WeAreCreativeGenerations This should include your name and or school/care home name and your age.
4) Creative Mojo will then create a digital collage of all the portraits submitted.5) You will also be able to download a certificate of participation.6) Then Your Face, Your Way entry will be exhibitited on our gallery page with acknowledgements to all
the artists, schools and care homes who have taken part. You will be able to download and print the finished piece from this gallery page.
