The Officer's Daily Log From the NavigatorDuring the night Golden Princess continuedsouthbound, passing through the Hecate Strait andinto Queen Charlotte Sound. Transiting QueenCharlotte Sound we once again entered the PacificOcean and continued south, paralleling the westcoast of Vancouver Island (WFT. 5). Throughout themorning weshall remain on a south-easterly courseheading for Victoria.Later this afternoon we shall reenter American waters and proceed down to JuanDe Fuca Strait (S3). When at the easterly end of thestrait we will make a turn northwards and approachVictoria. Shortly after passing back into Canadianterritorial waters we shall embark our local pilot, whowill guide the ship to her berth in Victoriaharbour. Onpassing the breakwater of the harbour the Captainwill swing the ship around using the thrusters andproceed astern, coming alongside our berth. Oncewe have all our passengers back on board we will letgo our lines and move ahead out of our berth. Onclearing the berth we shall then make a turn to portpassing the breakwater on our port side. Afterdisembarking our local pilot we shall then crossback into American waters and head south, holdingoff Port Angeles, where we will then board yetanother pilot who will guide us down the TrafficSeparation Scheme of Puget Sound towards Seattle.

joining Princess Cruises, Kylerhad the opportunity to visitbreathtaking Bora Bora,French Polynesia, whichremains his favorite port ofcall.
