Welcome back to the final term for 2017. This term will be busy including the Year 6 Camp to Pemberton, Interschool Athletics Carnival, Kindy Orientation, Volunteers Morning Tea, Year 5/6 Surf Lessons at Yallingup, Annual Class Awards and Year 6 Graduation Ceremony and student end of year reports.

Our Year 6 students, Mr Wilson and Linda Kings left today for their annual camp, this year trekking to the Pemberton Camp School. It will be a fun filled week which includes mountain bike riding, visiting the sand dunes at Yeagarup, ecological river cruise at the Walpole Inlet, visiting the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, exploring the local timber industry, canoeing and rafting. I am sure the children, Mr Wilson and Linda will have an awesome time.

The Interschool Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 10th November at River Valley

Primary School in Burekup. Families are most welcome to attend and support our team throughout the day. Information will be sent home to selected athletes on Monday next week.

On Thursday the 12th October, the school erupted with laughter as the Australia Playhouse presented

their show “Puss In Boots: Pet Detective”. Aside from being entertaining the play touched on values such as “never judge a book by its cover” and having perseverance when everything just seems too hard!

All students are lucky to have another Incursion next week on Wednesday 25

October, 2pm - “Heave Ho Off We Go!” This incursion is being fully sponsored by the P&C so there will be no cost to families. Thank you P&C for all your efforts!!

This play is a theatrical experience, brought to us by School Performance Tours. It will have illusions, juggling, ventriloquism and we have been assured – loads and loads of laughs!

Kindy children are welcome to attend this incursion even though it is not a scheduled school day. Parents and caregivers are also welcome to attend at no charge.

New Canteen Summer Menus went home with the students last week. Please note a new addition to

the menu: Neopolitan Milk 300ml $2.20 (30% less sugar than the regular flavoured milks).

Another Incursion – Heave Ho Off We Go!

The P&C are catering for a Quilters’ luncheon function on Sunday 22nd October 2017 to help raise valuable funds

for our school. We will supply and serve a simple lunch, morning and afternoon tea on the day. We will be

catering for 120 people so if you can assist by either preparing food prior (sandwiches, cake, slice, or savouries –

sausage rolls, mini quiches etc.) making a food donation (tea, coffee, milk, juice, tomato sauce) or by helping on

the day, it would be sincerely appreciated! We really need your support!!!
