Welcome to Accenture in Australia!We are pleased that you have decided to begin your career with us. Before getting started, we want you to have all the information that you need. This brochure will give you a good idea of the rewards that you are entitled to upon joining Accenture*.

There’s a lot to digest so we’ve made it easy. You will find that we’ve broken the information down into four easy-to-read sections:

Health and Income Protection

Benefits

Business-related travel insuranceAccenture in Australia employees, including contractors, are automatically covered by insurance while on authorised business travel. Coverage also extends to personal holiday travel that is attached to a business trip or training travel, provided the main purpose of travel is for business or training.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)When an employee needs to talk about a sensitive issue that’s impacting his or her life, Accenture offers free confidential counselling and support through the Employee Assistance Program in partnership with Optum Australia, a global health services provider. Accenture employees can freely and confidentially discuss what’s troubling them with a qualified Optum counsellor in a safe and secure environment of their choice.

Influenza vaccinations Protection against illnesses is a must. Accenture offers annual vaccinations at no extra cost to employees. These vaccinations are administered by our accredited health provider at all Accenture office locations during the months of April and May. Details of vaccination schedules for employees are released through e-mail notification.

Life Insurance Life can sometimes be unpredictable. Accenture provides insurance coverage In the event of an employee’s untimely death. All employees, except Accenture Leadership, are covered by this insurance subject to policy eligibility criteria. Please review the policy member booklet for full details.

Salary continuance insuranceAccenture provides this insurance in the event an employee cannot work for a significant period due to a non-excluded illness or injury. Salary Continuance insurance covers all employees, except Accenture Leadership and employees working less than 15 hours per week, subject to policy eligibility criteria. Please review the policy member booklet for full details.

Compensation and RecognitionIndividual Performance Bonus* The Individual Performance Bonus (IPB) program awards bonus compensation to employees as a result of the great work they deliver for Accenture, its stakeholders and its clients. The non-contractual IPB payment amount is calculated using the employee’s fiscal year individual annual base earnings multiplied by the payout percentage which is based on the company’s financial performance and employee’s / individual’s performance during the year. The plan year begins on September 1st and ends on August 31st the following year.

Recognition Bonus*Accenture does not encourage its employees to work overtime. There are instances, however, where an employee may have to do so in order to fulfill a business need. When an employee works more than 20 percent overtime work, he or she may be eligible for a recognition bonus payment, which is paid out at the end of each quarter.

Employee Share Purchase Plan* Accenture employees can own a piece of the company through the Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESSP). These are Accenture Ltd. Class A common shares that may be purchased at a discount through payroll deductions. Employees can choose to contribute between one and ten percent of their salary during each semi-annual offering.

Recognise Performance Program*Accenture employees who perform outstanding work can receive performance points from their colleagues. These points can be redeemed for audio and video equipment, auto accessories, kitchenware, computer gadgets and more at our online catalog.

Employee Recruitment Referral Bonus*Accenture employees can earn monetary rewards by referring people from their network. Make a successful Accenture referral and receive a cash bonus amount (ranging from $1,000 to $7,000, depending on the role level).

Work/Life BalanceAnnual leave Full-time Accenture Australia employees enjoy four weeks, or 150 hours, of paid annual leave each year. Part-time employees leave is calculated on a prorate basis, so if an employee works for only three days a week, he or she will receive only 3/5th of the full-time entitlement, equivalent to 90 hours or 12 days.

Compassionate leave In case a family or household member passes away or suffers from a life-threatening illness, Accenture employees may access two days of paid compassionate leave. Compassionate leaves can be taken in one of the following ways:

• A single continuous two-day period, or• Two separate periods of one day each, or• Any separate periods Accenture and the employee agree upon.

Graduation leaveGraduation is a milestone event that’s not to be missed. Permanent Accenture employees who need to attend a graduation ceremony can apply for a half day, or full day of paid leave depending on the circumstances.

Long service leaveWhen an employee completes a certain number of years at Accenture in Australia, he or she is entitled to a paid long service leave. Duration of this leave will vary depending on the location of an employee. To determine the number of leave days allowed, see the list below.

• Employees in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia are entitled to approximately eight weeks (two months) of paid long service leave after 10 years’ continuous service.• Employees in the Australian Capital Territory are entitled to six weeks (1.4 months) of paid long service leave after seven years continuous’ service.• Employees in South Australia are entitled to 13 weeks paid long service leave after 10 years’ continuous service.

Military leaveSometimes duty calls. Accenture in Australia employees who are active members of the Australia Defence Force (ADF) can go on a minimum two-week defence leave each year. This leave is in addition to an employee’s annual leave, either as unpaid leave or on top-up pay.

Personal leave (including sick and carer’s leave)Employees of Accenture in Australia may access 10 days of paid personal/carer’s leave for each year of continuous employment. This leave is allocated once an employee commences employment and accrues each year on the anniversary of their start date. The leave carries forward if unused. An employee can also use this leave if he or she is unfit to work or needs to take care of a family member.

Study leaveAccenture in Australia employees who are completing approved courses of study may request one day of paid leave per subject per semester.

Accent on Parents including Parental leave* Permanent Accenture employees who are currently working are eligible to go on a parental leave before or after giving birth or during an adoption process. The policy for taking a parental leave is as follows:

• Up to three months of continuous leave paid as full pay for three months or half pay for six months• Unpaid leave• Any accrued annual leave or long service leave which may be due to them

Flexible fly backs*Accenture supports its employees who travel on a regular basis through flexible fly backs. This benefit allows an employee to do one of the following:

• Fly back to their home location • Fly someone out to their project site • Fly to an alternative location in place of a return trip home

Flexible work arrangements* Balancing work and personal life is important. Accenture offers its employees flexible working arrangements that consider an employee’s needs. These arrangements include work from home, flexible working hours, part-time work and job sharing. Employees who avail of these arrangements must work with their team or functional lead to assure continuous delivery of client requests.

Long/short term career break* Accenture employees who have worked continuously for five years can apply for an unpaid career break of one or two years. This break can be used for any purpose other than employment.

Professional societies reimbursement Employees who belong to a professional organisation can have their membership paid for by Accenture so long as it aligns to their current position. Examples of professional organisations include the Australian Institute of Systems Analysts, the Australian Computer Society and the Australian Institute of Management.

Quarterly community events Employees at Accenture are given opportunities to interact and meet each other throughout the year. These happen in the form of town halls, sports fests and year-end parties. Employees use these experiences to network with one another and form long-lasting friendships.

Structured Career Development Program At Accenture, employees are encouraged to chart their own career path. The Career Connection Site provides invaluable information for employees seeking advice on how to get ahead and make their mark.

Taxi home after hours If an employee is required to work beyond normal work hours, he or she may avail of a taxi service and reimburse their expense. To qualify for this benefit, an employee must work at least a 10-hour shift and provide confirmation that they have worked these hours.

Additional BenefitsAccenture Achievement AwardsThe Addo Agnitio Award (A3) program recognises collaboration and knowledge sharing. Accenture employees who commit to doing these on a regular basis are awarded a Gold or Silver star based on their contributions. These stars are handed out based on an employee’s level of activity and impact across these three categories:

• Connecting to the right people and content• Contributing to knowledge and experience• Cultivating the ideas and insights of others

AMP financial and superannuation adviceAccenture has partnered with AMP, an Australian financial services company, to provide its employees with a venue to receive financial and superannuation advice.

Annual volunteer dayThrough their Corporate Citizenship program, Accenture Australia gives employees a chance to take a day of paid leave to volunteer for one of Accenture’s sponsored charities, or with a charity of their choice.

Comprehensive Orientation and Integration Program New employees at Accenture need not worry about first-day jitters. Accenture offers a comprehensive two-day orientation program introducing employees to the company, its people and its culture.

Salary packaging Accenture employees who wish to pay for certain approved products or services can do so through salary packaging. This benefit allows employees to sacrifice an amount of their pre-tax gross earnings to pay for things such as motor vehicles, superannuation, professional memberships, self-education expenses and car parking.

Corporate credit card Accenture employees who qualify for a corporate credit card may make purchases on the company’s behalf. Examples of chargeable items include team trainings, seminars and representation expenses.

Corporate Discount Programs Accenture employees are entitled to discounts through the Accenture Lifestyle and Leisure program (API). Discounts provided by API include entertainment, travel, shopping, home & garden, motoring and well-being.
