Q: What is a Representative Assistant?

A: A Representative Assistant is a person who helps an Avon Inde-

pendent Sales Representative increase sales by contacting her net-

work of friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, fellow club members

and even acquaintances and presenting them with the opportunity

to purchase Avon products.

Because there is no commitment or quotas to meet, this position is

perfect for the person who would like to try their hand at selling

Avon—to test the waters.

The responsibilities of a Representative Assistant include taking

orders, collecting payment and distributing the bagged items to

“their customers”. The Representative handles the rest—ordering,

sorting and bagging, invoicing and making payment to Avon.

The benefits of this position vary by Representative. The most com-

mon form of compensation is to receive free Avon products equal to

a set percentage of the total sales turned in by the Representative

Assistant.

Tip of the Month: Protect yourself from the sun

The most important way to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure

can cause wrinkles, freckles, age spots and rough, dry skin. Sun exposure can also cause more-serious

problems, such as skin cancer. For the most complete sun protection: Avoid the sun between 10

a.m. and 4 p.m. This is when the sun's rays are the strongest. Wear protective clothing. Cover

your skin with tightly woven long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. You might also opt

for special sun-protective clothing, which is specifically designed to block ultraviolet rays while keeping you cool and com-

fortable. Use sunscreen when you're in the sun. Apply generous amounts of broad-spectrum sunscreen 30 minutes
