A Christmas CanonPachelbel Canon / The First Noel

I’ve always found it exciting when two melodies fit well together and are played simultaneously. Such is the case withthese two great classics, Pachelbel’s Canon in D and The First Noel. Although written in different time signatures,their harmonic basis is similar, making it easy to play one over the other. Since the ‘Canon’ has many variations, Idecided to put this arrangement in

34 time like The First Noel. Each melody is stated individually and as the piecemoves along, the two are eventually played together. Care must be taken so that one melody doesn’t overshadow theother, and that the tempo remains at a comfortable speed. Have fun!
