GROW WEST HARTFORD SHABBATON
Speaking for myself and fellow board members, I wanted to give special thanks for a job well done to all the individuals and families who made this week-end's Shabbaton for "Grow West Hartford" hap-pen. The positive energy generated was noteworthy and I feel that the 8 families who visited, came away with a clear picture of "Why we love West Hartford”! There was an enormous amount of time and energy put forth to make this a success, so thank you to all who helped (before, during and afterward) and to each of the families who opened their homes for housing, feeding and hosting activities during the weekend. Debbie Luger & the Board
ERUV
You should have received your yearly "eruv solicitation" letter in the mail last week. As outlined in the letter, the costs of checking & maintaining the eruv continue to rise. In addition this year, we are faced with finding, training and having the funds to pay checker(s) for the eruv, as Rabbi Weinberg leaves the community in July. It goes without saying, that having a reliable eruv in the community is essential to attracting new families to the area as well as meeting the needs of our current families who regularly depend on the eruv. Time is short to make a smooth transi-tion. Please respond as soon as possible -- an enve-lope was enclosed. Checks payable to: "West Hart-ford Eruv." If you did not receive, or have mis-placed the letter, checks can be mailed to : The Eruv Committee 107 Hilldale Road W. Hartford, CT 06117
