The  front  page  of  the  “Classic”  template    displays  the  company  logo,  banners  and  news,  as  well  as  providing  quick  access  to  any  part  of  the  portal  with  drop-­‐down  menus  and  links  in  gadgets.  The  intui,ve  interface,  like  surfing  the  Internet,  requires  no  special  training.      

Company  news  and  important  informa,on  can  be  placed  prominently,  with  complete  details  on  a  separate  portal  page.      

Add    new  gadgets  with  informa,on  from  any  part  of  the  portal,  RSS’s,  Google  gadgets,  etc.    

Front  Page  and  Dashboard  

 Drag-­‐and-­‐drop  gadgets  in  this  dashboard  as  needed.  Users  can  be  allowed  to  personalize  this  dashboard.        

Links  to  personal  page  with  customized  dashboard,  messages,  files  and  tasks  

Bitrix  Intranet  provides  out-­‐of-­‐the-­‐box  portal  structure  and  content  that  can  be  easily  modified

In  the  ‘Social’  interface  template,  which  what  is  used  in  the  Bitrix24  cloud  service,  a  large  amount  of  informa,on  is  displayed  clearly  and  personalized  to  each  user  on  the  front  page.  This  page  seems  to  have  slightly  too  much  on  it  when  first  viewed,  but  it  quickly  mastered  by  users  and  its  richness  improves  performance.      

Time  clock  includes  a  task  and  ,me  planner  for  the  day  and  a  report  input

All  updates  in  the  intranet  to  which  a  user  has  access  can  be  shown  in  the  Ac,vity  Stream.    External  data  can  be  displayed  as  well.  Users  can  follow  threads  and  receive  no,fica,ons  of  selected    categories.  The  photo  and  task  viewers  can  be  opened  without  naviga,ng  away  from  the  Ac,vity  Stream.    

Announcement  type  posts  are  displayed  separately  as  well  as  in  the  stream

Instant  Messenger  A  completely  internal  IM  system  featuring  chat,  group  chat,  video  chat,  and  online  indicators.    This  feature  shows  who  is  online,  allows  mul,ple  recipients  at  a  click.  This  IM  messenger  is  available  via  the  Desktop  app,  as  well.  Addi,onally,  an  XMPP  server  is  included  to  support  JABBER  clients  and  to  supplement  this  built-­‐in  system.

Employee  Profiles  

Full  complement  of  intranet  tools  for  personal  use:    file  storage,  calendar,  tasks,  etc.  Individual  access  to  features  can  be  set  for  your  closest  associates.      

Open  a  profile  page  by  clicking  on  the  photo  or  name  of  the  user  on  any  portal  page.    Users  can  be  added  through  AD/LDAP  with  subordina,on,  groups,  and  departments.      

Searchable  custom  user  fields  can  be  added  to  profiles.    

Rich  user  profiles  with  extensive  contact  details,  interests,  and  social  networking  tools.  Each  employee  can  customize  the  profile.

Mobile  Intranet  All  edi,ons  are  accessible  via  mobile  apps  for  iOS    and  Android.  The  mobile  intranet  allows  access  to  messages,  news,  the  Ac,vity  Stream,  tasks,  the  CRM,  and  much  more.

Company  Structure  The  company  structure  elegantly  shows  departments  along  with  thumbnails  of  employees.  The  drag-­‐and-­‐drop  interface  is  easy  to  use.  The  informa,on  here  is  used  in  turn  by  the  access  permissions  system,  tasks,  business  processes,  work  ,me  tracking,  and  more.

Telephone  Directory  The  telephone  directory  is  not  only  about  telephones.  It  provides  quick  access  to  employees  using  filters  and  searches.  The  list  can  be  configured  to  show  desired  fields.

An  essen,al  part  of  collabora,on,  file  sharing    in  the  Bitrix  Intranet  includes  versioning,  recovery,  comments,  tags  and  a  sophis,cated  workflow  tool.    Content  is  indexed  immediately  for  fast  searching    

 

Map  this  document  library  as  a  local  drive  in  Windows  Explorer,  etc.    

 

Any  file  type  can  be  stored,  size  limits  may  be  set  as  needed.  Office  documents  and  pdfs  are  indexed  with  their  content.    

How  to  Upload:  Upload  buWon,  network  drive,  Desktop  App,  or  just  grab  a  file  out  of  Window  Explorer  or  your  file  manager  and  drop  it  onto  the  document  library.    

Specify  file  storage  seings  including  user  access  rights  

Edit  documents  online  with  WebDAV  support.  All  changes  in  documents  are  instantly  indexed  and  available  for  search.    Folders  on  your  local  network  can  also  be  linked  and  displayed  as  document  files  and  indexed.

The  Bitrix24  Desktop  App  combines  2  major  features  in  it:  the  instant  messenger  and  the  Document  Library.  It  provides  online  access  to  IM  without  a  browser  and  a  true  file  sync  with  personal  files.    

Upload  and  file  renaming  can  be  done  very  quickly  via  the  Desktop  App  

Stay  in  touch  with  your  colleagues  without  using  a  browser

Business  Processes    Part  1  

Bitrix24  comes  with  several  standard  templates  for  business  processes.    More  business  processes  can  be  created  and  customized.  They  can  be  based  on  documents,  CRM  objects,  list  elements,  or  on  rou,ne  ac,vi,es.    

In  the  CRM,  process  can  be  used  to  assign    

Standard  templates  cover  basic  func,ons  such  as  approval  by  vote,  assigned  reading,  approval  of  mul,ple  par,es,  etc.

Business  Processes  2:  Editor  

BPs  can  be  applied  on  files,  lists,  the  CRM  and  on  special-­‐purpose  infoblocks  (e.g.  leave  requests).  This  powerful  tool  can  draw  data  from  virtually  any  part  of  the  intranet  and  be  integrated  with  other  applica,ons.    

Sample:    a  two-­‐stage  approval  process  for  a  document  to  be  published  

Opera,ons  concerning  documents,  logic,  communica,ons  and  other  u,li,es  can  be  dragged  and  dropped  into  the  process.  No  coding  skills  are  required.  A  large  number  of  ac,ons  have  been  added  for  the  CRM.

Each  workgroup  has  a  full  set  of  intranet  tools:  tasks,    repor,ng,  discussions,  files,  calendar,  wikis  and  more.    

Group  owners  and  moderators  can  manage  the  workgroup  members,  appearance,  access  controls,  no,fica,ons  and  more  

Workgroups  provide  a  secure  zone  for  project  development  with  a  wide  range  of  tools.  Groups  may  be  open  to  all,  by  invita,on  only,  or  invisible  to  non-­‐members.    Workgroups    are  also  available  in  the  Extranet.

GanW  chart  shows  each  task’s  start,  finish,  deadline,  and  status  

Projects  can  be  organized  in  individual  workgroups  where  the  tasking  module  can  be  used  to  visualize  the  project  flow,  record  ,me  spent  on  various  parts  of  the  project,  and  to  delegate    responsibili,es.

Wiki  allows  teams  to  collaborate  on  shared  knowledge  bases  with  content  versioning,  changes  history  and  roll-­‐back  features    

There  is  a  global  wiki  and  a  wiki  available  in  each  workgroup.    Wiki  entries  show  up  in  the  universal  search  and  respect  access  privileges.

Non-­‐standard  days  are  approved  by  a  supervisor  

Click  on  a  date  for  a  detailed  pop-­‐out  with  the  daily  report  and  other  informa,on  

Dates  are  shown  on  a  sliding  calendar  

Daily,  weekly,  or  monthly  reports  can  be  created  and  approved  by  supervisors.    Data  from  these  reports  can  be  summarized  for  analysis  by  a  report  wizard    

Supervisors  can  see    subordinates.  Employees  see  only  themselves.

Lists  (Records  Management)  

Lists  are  spreadsheet-­‐like  records    with  any  number  of  fields  holding  data  of  various  types,  including  files.    Business  process  may  be  run  on  list  items.    

Records  management  can  be  enhanced  with  pre-­‐made  or  custom  business  processes  

Use  lists  in  the  public  sec,on  or  in  workgroups.    Each  list  can  has  its  own  access  permission  seings.

Communica,ons,  news,  workgroups,  file  sharing;  all  in  a  ‘secure  zone’  where  3rd  party  contacts  may  interact  with  employees  and  each  other.    There  is  no  limit  on  the  number  of  Extranet  users.  Below  is  the  extranet  view  in  the  Classic  template.    

Extranet    

Users  may  be  allowed  to  view  limited  informa,on  without  logging  in  or  required  to  authorize  before  reaching  the  opening  page  

Instant  messages  and  video  calls  can  be  made  from  the  intranet  to  the  extranet  and  vice  versa,  with  respect  to  access  privileges.  

Share  news,  informa,on,  useful  forms  and  protocols  and  ensure  that  suppliers,  partners,  and  clients  are  interac,ng  op,mally  with  your  company  

Extranet  users  see  extranet  pages  (where  dynamic  or  sta,c  content  can  be  placed),  workgroups  of  which  they  are  members,  their  own  profiles,  and  the  profiles  of  other  group  members.

Web  forms  allow  simple  management  of  basic  service  tasks  in  the  company.  Customiza,on  of  these  forms  is  simple  and  convenient.    Service  Orders

The  Enterprise  search  feature  supports  full  text  search  that  only  returns  results  to  which  the  user  has  access.  External  (network)  folders  which  are  set  up  as  document  libraries  in  the  intranet  can  be  fully  searched,  as  well  as  custom-­‐added  user  proper6es

The  high-­‐end  CMS  on  which  Bitrix24  is  constructed  allows  nearly  unlimited  customiza,on.    Furthermore,  content  editors  can  be  granted  wide  privileges  inside  specific  sec,ons  of  the  intranet.

Bitrix  Intranet  contains  friendly  wizards  that  allows  to  quickly    customize  the  appearance,  branding  and  func,onality  of  your  portal.      

Templates  and  Customiza6on  

The  configura,on  wizard  is  accessible  at  install  and  from  the  front-­‐end  edi,ng  panel.    There  are  2  templates  that  come  in  Bitrix24.  Templates  can  be  modified,  and  different  templates  can  be  used  under  condi,ons  such  as  user  type,  ,me  frame,  sec,on  of  the  intranet,  language  choice,  and  other  condi,ons.  

The  Social  Intranet  template  is  what  is  used  in  the  Cloud  version  of  the  product.    

The  Classic  Intranet  template  has  a  large  horizontal  menu  and  dashboards,  among  other  features.
