The Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin Borchard, a highly acclaimed board certified orthopedic surgeon, is joining the TMH staff!
This summer, patients with complex joint issues requiring replacement, revision or repair will no longer have to travel to find a total joint fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Borchard and TMH will become the solution for advanced joint surgeries throughout the Western Slope.
Comprehensive pre- and post-surgical careDr. Borchard is looking forward to creating a dedicated orthopedic program with comprehensive pre- and post-surgical care at TMH. To accommodate, TMH Rehab Services will relocate and expand its physical and occupational therapy services at 473 Yampa, downtown Craig in early January.
More choice of doctorsAll regional orthopedists – including Drs. Sisk, Sauerbrey, Meininger and Bomberg – are welcome to perform surgery at TMH.

“Growing up in Meeker, I always looked forward to getting back to a smaller town and never imagined it would work out for me to return to the Meeker/Craig area. But it has, and it’s fantastic,” he states. Dr. Borchard grew up in Meeker and was inspired to become a doctor by his EMT mother and by local Meeker doctor David Steinman. His sister, Kellie Turner, is a family physician in Meeker, and his wife, Hanna, was also raised in Meeker. “I loved growing up in this area, and now my boys can experience that, too,” he says.
