Many of the commercial airlines (excluding budget carriers) operate very efficient andreasonably priced ‘Unaccompanied Minor’ (UM) programmes for children travellingwithout an adult.

Please check if any further documentation is required by the authorities in your countryregarding the travel of Unaccompanied Minors.

Should parents wish to accompany a child to camp by means of a Camp Suisse transferfrom Geneva Airport on an arrivals day we will of course do our best to accommodatethis request. We must however stress that it is our priority to organise transfers forcampers - places for parents cannot be guaranteed unless booked in advance Adulttransfers are charged at 75 CHF one-way or 150 CHF return. Later in the day and subjectto our transfer schedule, parents wishing to return to Geneva from camp may need totake a train rather than a Camp Suisse transfer. We will organise this.

3. By train – we provide accompanied return transfers for campers to and from bothGeneva and Aigle train stations on scheduled arrival and departure days. These arealso included in the price of the camp.

Any accompanied airport or rail transfers outside of scheduled arrival and departuretimes will be charged at 200 CHF for the first child and 50 CHF for each additional child(one way).

NEED ACCOMMODATION IN THE SURROUNDING AREA?

Camp Suisse has priority hotel rates in Montreux for parents who are driving theirchildren to camp and wish to stay a night nearby or for those who wish to explore thelocal area for a few days whilst their children are at camp.

Please contact us at [email protected] if you would like us to book accommodationfor you.

Please note: Accommodation in Montreux and the surrounding area can be harderto find during the dates of the ‘Montreux Jazz Festival’ (early July).

CONTACT DETAILS FOR CAMPERS

Closer to the time of camp you will be issued with a telephone number on which youcan reach your child via their Head of Department (based on your child’s age and theactivity group they are therefore in).

The best time to call campers is between 17.30 and 18.30 (CEST) each day as camperswill be having far too much fun to speak to Mum and Dad during activities.

Should you have any difficulty contacting your child in an emergency situation (ONLY)you are able to call the Camp Directors Julie or Richard on their mobile phones at anytime.

TECHNOLOG Y AND CAMP SUISSE

At Camp Suisse we like to focus on developing campers’ key personal skills through agreat range of fun, interactive outdoor and educational activities. We do not allowaccess to the internet for any campers. Devices such as kindles and iPads are bought atcampers’ own risk and are to be handed in along with mobile phones for safekeepingby the Group Leaders.Unfortunately we cannot allow campers to keep their phones with them to use as camerasso if you do wish your youngster to take pictures, a separate camera is the best way todo this.

Telephones and other wi-fi devices are collected upon campers’ arrival to camp. TheGroup Leaders distribute campers’ telephones during ‘shower hour’ each evening (approx.5.30pm) to allow campers to text or phone home should they wish.

Parents are also more than welcome to email any messages or letters [email protected] and these messages will be passed on to campers via theirGroup Leader.
