When he had the vision to create the annual Bahamas Bridal Show in 1990, Tommy Stubbs wanted to encourage engaged couples, families and friends to give local businesses the chance to serve their wedding needs – before considering to shop outside of the Bahamas.

The first Bahamas Bridal Show was held April 22, 1990, at Le Meridien Royal Bahamian (now Sandals Resort) in Cable Beach with 255 registered couples among 805 in attendance and 16 exhibitors.

At the 24th annual production March 25, 2012, at Wyndham Nassau Resort, there were 384 registered couples, 1,442 in attendance and 43 exhibitors. Five additional shows were held in Freeport, Grand Bahama from 2000 to 2005.
