Google Calendar How-To You can access Google Calendar, and any calendars on it shared with you, in two ways. You can download the app to your phone, tablet, or other device and log in using your Fresno State email (you will need to use that ‘@mail.fresnostate.edu’ ending – don’t worry, it’s exactly the same as your ‘@csufresno.edu’ email). Or you can access it directly through your email account on your laptop! This how-to will walk you through that process, since it will allow you to print the calendar. First, go out to fresnostate.edu, select ‘Email’ from the ‘Quick Links’ button in the top right corner: You can log in using just your user name and password:

Google Calendar How-To

You can access Google Calendar, and any calendars on it shared with you, in two ways.

First, go out to fresnostate.edu, select ‘Email’ from the ‘Quick Links’ button in the top right corner:

You can log in using just your user name and password:

In the top right corner of your email, you will see a grid next to your profile picture that looks a bit like a waffle. This is the Google Apps button.

Click on the waffle, the other Google Apps available to you through your email account will come up. Select the ‘Calendar’ button to see your Google Calendar, and any Calendars shared with you.

The Calendar will pop up either in another browser window or tab. If you look at the image below you can see that my email is still open in the far left corner:

The Calendar will automatically display the current week, but you can adjust that to either just today, the month, four days, or an Agenda. The above image shows the ‘Week’ view, below shows the month. You can see what calendars have been shared with you in the column on the far left, then those calendars’ events appear in specific colours on your calendar (see circles below). The best way to print is using the Agenda format:

The agenda will first show ALL events from ALL calendars selected:

You can de-select certain calendars by simply clicking on them in the left column. For example, if I only want to do Multiple Subject Phase 3, I click on all my other calendars (including my own appointment calendar) so that only the blue is showing:

From here, you can print the calendars by selecting ‘Print’ from the ‘More’ drop-down menu in the upper right corner (below the app waffle):

A pop-up menu will appear, where you need to be very careful what you select. First, make sure the entire date range is selected from the Range drop-down, then select or de-select the options you want printed on the calendar. I recommend the settings highlighted below.

You can either print directly from the browser or ‘Save As’ a PDF and then open it in Adobe Acrobat to print two-sided, etc.
