Classroom Projects

Ms. Pepe– Preschool 3 Class

What better way to teach the kids in preschool to Build their house upon

the Rock But with Legos. The preschool 3's class has put together a

LEGO table and chair complete with LEGO sets. The table is decorated

with the kids thumb print LEGO heads to represent the whole class.

Ms. Ewings – PreKindergarten Class

"I Love To Cuddle Up With A Good Book"- The pre-kindergarten has made

a lovely heart quilt to use when you cuddle up with a good book. Each

child has designed his or her own heart to put on the quilt. Included in our

reading basket are books to read for different ages, stuffed animals that

match some of the books, and gift cards to Powells and Barnes and Noble

so you can pick that perfect book to add to you reading collection.

Ms. Pinnell – Kindergarten Class

reminder that Jesus loves all children from around the world

is written on this hat/coat rack by the kindergarteners. Although

class size is small, the children in kindergarten represent many

cultures.

Mrs. Strickling – First Grade Class

The 1st grade students made a wall hanging based on Joshua 24:15

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." To showcase how we

are each individuals that make up a community, each student made a house

to represent themselves. This 8x11 wall hanging is perfect for a kids room,

mud room or play room and is a constant reminder to "Serve the Lord"!

Mrs. Kisser – Second Grade Class

The 2nd Grade Class has created a "Rainy Day Treasure Chest" filled with

games, snacks, art activities and supplies. The chest is decorated on the

inside with a cloud and the students' fingerprint raindrops in 17 shades of

blue. A key to each child's color & fingerprint can be found on the inside

bottom of the chest.

Mr. Brederhoft – Third Grade Class

The third grade project features a picnic basket with various items. It

includes a wicker, two-handle basket, a colorful red, white, and black

blanket; and eight colored, durable plastic plates with matching glasses.

The third graders each decorated their personal popsicle stick

pallet-coaster. The popsicle coasters will help stabilize picnic drinks on

the picnic blanket.

Mrs. Loseke – 4th Grade Class

Iris Folding is the technique used by the twelve fourth graders to create this stunning Golden

Cross design. The method was originated in Holland and involves using a pattern and applying

folded pieces of paper to the back side of the black mat. We hope you enjoy adding this to

your home!

Ms. Mai – 5th Grade Class Fifth Grade's auction project this year is a painting tied to the theme Roots

& Wings. Each fifth grader drew a bird and then used his or her finger prints

in a specific color to paint the birds, with more fingerprints of his or her color

being on the bird that he or she drew. One can tell which color each student

used by turning the canvas over to see the fingerprint color key. The picture

itself features the twelve birds sitting on two tree branches while they watch

another bird (drawn my Ms. Mai) take flight. Underneath the bird in flight

written the quote, "Two of the greatest gifts we can give our children are roots

wings," by Hodding Carter.

Mrs. Visser – 6th Grade Class HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS…...

The 6th grade auction project is a rustic sign that can be hung inside or outside your house.

Each student has painted a picture to be displayed over the 12 months of the year. Each

month you can change out the pictures in the 8X8 frame. This rustic sign would be a great

welcome on any porch or entryway. (You can put your own 8X8 picture in the frame.)

Mrs. Kaufmann – 7th Grade Class

To tie in with their study of world geography, each student in the

seventh grade class found samples of folk art representing the countries

and cultures of their family heritage. They then recreated the folk art

on puzzle pieces, representing them as individuals. The puzzle pieces

put together represent the students as a united class while also

celebrating their unique backgrounds.

Mrs. Stehle – 8th Grade Class

A 4x2 wall hanging based on the song "America the Beautiful" features

pictures of famous American people, places, brands, art, flora and fauna.
