We travel through millions of years of geologic history as we rise up through the Colorado Plateau, where we see the spires of Zion in the distance. Before we enter the park, we’ll dine at one of the finest restaurants in the idyllic town of Springdale. We end our day at the secluded Zion Park Lodge, hidden within the towering walls of Zion Canyon. Dinner / Zion Park Lodge - Zion National Park OR MTS Camp- Zion - Zion National Park Day 2: Hike Angel's Landing and Explore the Park Our day begins with the anticipated summit of Angel’s Landing. When Reverend Freder- ick Fisher first visited Zion Canyon in 1916, he was awestruck by the soaring elegance of the monolith and decided that its heights could be visited by angels alone. Park workers later designed a winding route that tops out 1,200 feet above the valley floor, with incredible views up and down the canyon. After our 5-mile hike, we take in an afternoon of park exploration. Options include a van drive through the landmarks of the eastern park, a stroll (and some shopping!)through the town of Springdale, or visiting Zion’s Human History Museum. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner / Zion Park Lodge - Zion National Park OR MTS Camp- Zion - Zion National Park Day 3: Hike Emerald Pools and The Narrows After a delicious breakfast on the porch of Zion Lodge, we depart straight from the hotel on the 3-mile Emerald Pools hike. Discover a hidden “micro-climate” surrounding three serene ponds, ending in a shady amphitheater topped by trickling waterfalls. After a shady picnic lunch under an enormous cottonwood tree at the lodge, we’ll continue our exploration of Zion’s waterways in the Virgin River Narrows. We’ll hike 5 miles out-and-back through the river itself, while around us, the walls rise thousands of feet above. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner / Zion Park Lodge - Zion National Park OR MTS Camp- Zion - Zion National Park Day 4: Morning hike on Watchman Trail and transfer to Las Vegas We celebrate our final morning in the park hiking the shoulders of the Watchman spire to a stunning lookout over Zion Canyon. The rising sun splashes the walls in crimson red as we take in the sights and sounds of the valley one last time. Wave farewell to the national park as we exit to Springdale for a tasty lunch. Relax on the patio of Oscar’s Café and recount our adventures in Zion before we journey back to the bright lights of Las Vegas.
