Put Yorkshire and Humber on the national scene
The Get into Teaching PR campaign is looking for case studies of high quality graduates and career changers (trainees or newly qualified teachers in England) - including those from Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland. The campaign focusses on a range of subjects including maths, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, MFL and geography.
Also needed are “returners” in particular to maths and physics. These will be used to support PR aimed at encouraging more qualified teachers to re-enter the profession.
Can you help?

WHY - develop ITT network/s?
Self Assessment Purpose: To enable SD regional networks to self-assess their
effectiveness in terms of maximising recruitment through the relevant support programmes, activities and marketing activity.
Aim: To provide a baseline measure at the start of the 16/17 recruitment cycle that identifies possible development priorities for the network. Continue to review effectiveness on a termly basis, to evidence progress and a positive shift towards a self-sustaining system.
Method: The SD network will self-assess effectiveness based on their reflections against the indicators. TLA’s will play a support and challenge role to help moderate the self-assessments, and capture rationale behind network assessment.
It will help NCTL develop materials, resources and policy to support networks’ ITT recruitment activities.
