There is no pre-booking for these walks except on the day in the
marquee. As walks will be limited to
manageable numbers, please arrive early to avoid possible
disappointment
Why is York so special? approximately 1 hour All other walks 1-1.5 hours. All walks are wheelchair accessible except those marked with an ‘*’ Bookings can only be made on the day of the walks. As the purpose of the weekend is to inform and attract members of the public to the Trust, priority will be given to non-members of YCT

09.30am Medieval Shops and Houses 12th to 16th century shops, dwellings and warehouses and their network of plots, alleys and streets Peter Addyman
10.00am The Reformation in York The changes to York’s townscape and churches caused by the Reformation Bill Sheils
10.30am York’s Red Brick Treasures Some of York’s prominent red-brick houses, educational establishments, religious buildings, offices and hotels and their history. This walk will conclude with a tour inside the Red Tower, Foss Islands Road.
