Like in the past we kept up the tradition of OA Wednesdays. Every Wednesday OA members at camp would get together and do a service project for the camp. This year we worked on fixing up the stone gates at the entrance to camp. We started off by cutting a few trees down. This would have been easy if not for the near- by power lines. A couple arrowmen hasd to climb all the way up the tree and cut it down from the top. Once the trees were out of the way we started to reconstruct the wall. Unfortunately the walls were completely filled with bees and other fly- ing menaces. This made a group of manly scouts all run in a panic from fear. Once this was all said and done the brothers would meet up in the dining hall for some well deserved ice cream.

Hey guys, my name is Evan and as some

of you may know I was the commissioned

at Camp Resolute this past summer. Like

in the past we kept up the tradition of OA

Wednesdays. Every Wednesday OA

members at camp would get together and

do a service project for the camp. This

year we worked on fixing up the stone

gates at the entrance to camp. We started

off by cutting a few trees down. This

would have been easy if not for the near-

by power lines. A couple arrowmen hasd

to climb all the way up the tree and cut it

down from the top. Once the trees were

out of the way we started to reconstruct

the wall. Unfortunately the walls were

completely filled with bees and other fly-

ing menaces. This made a group of manly

scouts all run in a panic from fear. Once

this was all said and done the brothers

Conclave update

By: chris gad

Hi guys, things are shap-

ing up to make this

years conclave one of

the best of all time.

But we still need help.

We need arrowmen to

help run the entire

weekend. This is a

chance to be a part of

resolute history. If

your interested in be-

ing part of the service

lodge send me an email

at vicechiefliber-

Brothers, as you may have no-

ticed this area of the yonk is not

a corner. But that is a problem

for another day. The 2011 year

may be coming to a close but

the OA year is just beginning .

We still have a big year ahead of

us with our regular events like

the 3-in-1, the fellowship, ban-

quet, and ordeal. And on top of

that we have our Conclave

weekend and NOAC. This is turn-

ing out to be one of the biggest

years in Chippanyonk history. If

you don't want to miss out on it

take the first step and join us at

the 3-in-1 weekend next week-

end at nobscott. I hope to see

you there.

Fall Yonk

Hi! My name is John and I am the NOAC

coordinator. What that means is that

I’m going to be the youth in charge of

planning NOAC. Whats NOAC you say?

NOAC is the National Order of the Arrow

Confrence, it happens every three

years. It’s basically the national jambo-

ree of the OA. The main difference is

that instead of being held at a scout

camp, NOAC is held on a college cam-

pus. And yes that is as awesome as it

sounds. Everyone stays in dorm rooms

and eats from the college dining cen-

ters. This year NOAC is taking place at

Michigna State University. Trust me you

do not want to miss out on this experi-

ence. Chippanyonk is sending a contin-

gent so if your interested in going or

learning more email Vinny at

[email protected] or check out

Mere words can not describe the awesome-

ness in this picture from 2011 NOAC
