Part One: Listening Comprehension You will hear ten personal questions. Answer each one in
Spanish using complete sentences. o This will be on information you are familiar with.
Read these statements. The listen as Professor Sánchez addresses his students on the first day of classes and indicate whether each statement is cierto or falso.
1. El profesor Sánchez enseña español.2. La clase es los lunes, martes y viernes.3. La clase es de diez a once de la mañana.4. Necesitan practicar los lunes en el laboratorio.5. El laboratorio está lejos de la biblioteca.
Part Two: The Written FINAL:
I. Vocabulary: There will be a one 25-item matching test. Please study
pp. 38 and 76 of your textbook (not just for this portion of the exam, but also for the rest of the final).
II. Verbs:You will be asked to conjugate in the present tense one –
ar verb, the verb SER, and the Verb ESTAR.
III. Grammar:This portion of the test will be similar (if not identical) to the workbook assignments completed this year.
¿El, la, los o las? Write the correct definite article before each noun.
Singular y plural Give the plural form of each singular article and noun and the singular form of each plural article and noun.
Los pronombres In the second column, write the subject pronouns that you would use when addressing the people listed in the first column. In the third column, write the pronouns you would use when talking about them.
Nosotros somos... Rewrite each sentence with the new subject. Change the verb ser as necessary.
¿Qué hora es? Use complete sentences to tell the time. Completar Complete these sentences using the correct
form of the verb in parentheses. Seleccionar Choose an interrogative word from the list to
write a question that corresponds with each response. i. adónde, cuándo, de dónde, por qué, quién, cuáles,
cuántos, dónde, qué, quiénes Conversación Complete this conversation with the correct
forms of ser and estar. ¿ Cuántos hay? Use the inventory list to answer questions
about the amount of items in stock at the stationary store. Use complete sentences and write out the Spanish words for numbers.
IV. Lectura/Reading/Estructura This portion of the test will be similar (if not identical)
to the takehome handouts distributed (and returned) in the previous two weeks.
There will be:o Fill in the blank, with correct word (form of the
verb)o Answer questions in complete sentences.o Complete Conversationso Construct conversation, using a set of vocabulary
and a guideline.o Answer questions on time (¿A qué hora?, ¿Qué
hora est?), in complete sentences. o Read a passage, answer questions on the content of
the passage in complete sentences.
