Attendance: Adults- (5) Taunya Jones, Kim Jones, Wilnetta Pleasant, Teresa Potts, Cassandra Smith Students- (12) Cairi Anderson, Robert Ferguson, Aiyanna Jones, Jerryn Jones, Humberto Mata-Renia, Yesenia Moreno, Jordan Potts, Brandon Scott, Nicolette Smith, Stephania Sosa, Natalia Villa, Ciera Overstreet This was the Youth Recognition Breakfast for the 2013 YMCA Black Achievers Program. The program was held at the Board office located on 701 E Main Street. This event is meant to showcase student attendance and achievement. This event is the prelude to the Honor and Awards Ceremony on April 27 th . Cluster awards were given out along with the Youth Achiever of the Year Award – Quiera Chambers. The new President/ CEO of the YMCA of Central KY, Mr. David Martorano was introduced and Dr. Roger Cleveland was the speaker for the day. The parents who participated in the parent group throughout the year also received certificates. After the ceremony; the DuBois Education Committee treated the students to lunch at Gatti Town and the students who completed posters for the Black History Month program were given $10 Gatti Town cards as an award. Those students who participated and received cards were: Aiyanna Jones, Brandon Scott, Yesenia Moreno, Nicolette Smith, and Michael Quick.
