YHA Whitby Abbey House, East Cliff, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO22 4JT In its prime spot beside Whitby Abbey and its popular visitor centre, YHA Whitby is an impressive hostel offering enviable views out across the harbour. This Grade I listed mansion is a fascinating mix of period features and mod cons, and offers plenty of space for groups to explore. Our impressive clifftop garden provides a magical place for running off steam or taking part in our hostel activities. Further afield you can enjoy sandy beaches, rock pools, fish and chips, fascinating history and witness a working harbour. Whilst the town can be accessed by road, most of our visitors prefer to take the path that follows the famous 199 steps. Be sure to count them as you go!
