Pre-Med Internship & Community Learning Program

Welcome

This summer, Yeshiva University’s Center for the Jewish Future is excited to partner with the Young Israel of East Brunswick on an exciting new program: the Yeshiva University - East Brunswick Pre-Med Internship & Community Learning Program. The program will consist of ten YU students who will have the exciting opportunity

to intern with and be mentored by doctors in 12 different medical and surgical specialties. At the same time, the students will learn and teach Torah in the evenings and become a part of the East Brunswick Jewish community. This innovative program will assist YU students in advancing their career interests in medicine, while simultaneously exposing them to a wonderful, warm and vibrant Jewish community. Additionally, it brings the energy and idealism of YU students to East Brunswick, where they will combine their engagement in the workplace with regular Torah study and volunteerism in the community.

We are grateful to our partners at the Young Israel of East Brunswick for their extraordinary efforts on behalf of our students. In particular, I would like to thank Judy Goldrich, the coordinator of this program (and a proud YU parent!), Melissa Rosen and our alumni, Rabbi Jay Weinstein, for their leadership.

With these programs, we invite you to experience and enjoy the warmth and wisdom of Yeshiva University. It is our wish that the program this summer will serve להגדיל תורה ולהאדירה - to enjoy the splendor of Torah, and continue to strengthen the relationship between the East Brunswick Jewish community and Yeshiva University.B’Yedidut,
