Year of Wood Goat

The year of Wood Goat finally arrives! According to Chinese

Metaphysics, it is the arrival of Yin wood (grass, flowers, twigs) for

the first half of the year, which has softer and more flexible

characteristics compared to Yang Wood (big tree) last year.

Secondly, Goat as the ruling animal brings with it a sentimental,

slower and moody energy compared to the dynamic and fast

paced Horse year. It may feel more frustrating at times: when you

want to push a lazy Goat forward, it will lean back on you! Lastly,

although both are soft/yin elements, Wood and Goat (earth) are

by nature, in elemental conflict. Expect more natural disasters

related to Earth, such as earthquakes and droughts. Small but

frequent quarrels around you will also need to be managed

tactfully, to avoid any major conflicts. Yin Wood sitting on dry Earth

will not produce healthy growth. This implies the economy may

face stiff competition due to slower growth. Earth also contains

hidden Wood and Fire elements. Because of dry Earth, the hidden

Wood will not be able to light up the Fire element. Fire industries like

the stock market will remain weak in the first quarter. Be prudent

and trade wisely. Overall expect slow growth in all sectors.

Day stem Yin Metal H8 is weak and under pressure from dominant Wood elements; fortunately it

still has some Earth around to provide support. However, this round of Earth is hot and dry, thus we

can conclude that Metal industries will be weak but still in demand. Xin Metal also needs water to

glitter, and from the chart above, Water being next to Fire and Wood on each side is relatively

weak. Wood element is the wealth for Metal. The presence of abundant Wood element

represents potential opportunities in the Metal industries, while property development and real

estate will continue to face stiff competition. Property prices are expected to be driven further

down in the first quarter.

Banking and finance will fare better than last year; gold prices will stabilize and improve in the

third quarter.

Property will remain competitive although prices still fluctuates. Need to find good timing for

transactions according to individual needs.

Stock market will continue to taper but at a slower pace compared to 2014. Avoid risking your

finances this year.

Oil and gas prices will still have a downward trend.

Entertainment industry and hospitality will be more competitive.

Natural resources and mining are not the best trades to invest in this year.

Travel, transport, logistics, shipping will fare better and improve compared to last year

Education, fashion, textile, pharmaceutical and consulting industries are competitive; find your

niche and strengthen your marketing efforts if your business is in this line.

Summary of field: Overall in 2015 be prepared for slower growth in most major industries.

Sectors guide for 2015:

North (8), South West (9) & East (1) are the best

sectors this year. Those with main door at North

will have added bonus. Activate these sectors

with moving water and keep your entrances

neat and tidy.

South East (2) and West (5) will need to be cured

with metal ornaments such as wind chimes or six

coins to minimize misfortunes and sickness.

Centre (3) of your house is a quarrelsome sector;

place something red and keep it clutter free.

North East (6) will be a good working place for

those aiming for a promotion, while the

Academic Star at North West (4) is conducive for

study desk this year. Avoid placing moving

normally carry out at the Taoist temples.
