Year 7 and 8 project –
British summer time sports
Hello Year 7 and 8,
This week our project is on Wimbledon and Cricket, popular British summer time
sports. Due to Covid19 Wimbledon is cancelled and cricket matches face similar
restrictions to football. I’m a huge fan of both and was excited when Mr Tighe
told me we would get to play in the summer term! So start practicing for next
year- what do you think to a staff vs student game?
• Literacy Task – A history of cricket. Wimbledon comprehension task.
• Science Task – Which ball and surface are the best for playing on?
• Humanities Task – Which part of the world were teams from in the Cricket
World Cup 2019? World’s best cricketers. The story of the ashes.
• Numeracy and Art Task – Colour by numbers and addition.
Stay safe ☺ ☺
