Using Online Databases to find Newspapers & Magazine Articles 1

Sometimes you might need to look up a topic in a newspaper or magazine.

This is a really useful if you want to find up-to-date information or details

about an issue.

Rather than spend ages flicking through a newspaper we can use an

online database to find the information.

At this school we use:

This database holds newspaper and magazine articles from sources all over

the world.

Sometimes the articles are rewritten to make them easier for you to

understand or because they were originally in another language.

Global NewsBank holds articles from 43 Australian newspapers.

This includes:

• The Age

• The Australian

• The Herald Sun

• Leader Newspapers

• MX

• Sportsman

• The Weekly Times
