The devices that help in giving instructions to the computer are called input devices

• Used to enter words and numbers into the computer

Scanner • Scanner is like a

photocopier machine • Used to copy and send

images to a computer

Bar code scanner: • Bar code scanners are used to scan the bar

codes.

Microphone • Used to record voice in a computer

Web camera • Used to capture photographs and store

it in a computer.

Touch screen • Data is entered by touching the screen using a finger

OUTPUT DEVICES

Monitor • Monitor is also known as VDU (Visual Display Unit) • Used to display the result on the screen

Printer

• It is used to get the output on a paper

• The output that we get on a paper is known as hard copy.
