All Pupils Must (Grade C or below): • Choose one section of the comic strip by Brad Hamann and copy this in
your homework sketchbook • Add colour carefully using pencil crayons, watercolours or ink • Include/paste the comic strip image in your sketchbook and label it neatly
Most Pupils Should (Grade C+ - B): • Draw more than one section of the comic strip • Add colour carefully • Find out some information on the illustrator Brad Hamann and create a fact
file
Some Pupils Could (Grade B+ - A*): • Draw all of the comic strip on a larger scale • Enlarge and draw images in proportion and with accuracy • Find information on the illustrator Brad Hamann and also comment on your
opinion of his work and on the advertisement, by writing in your own words • Present sketchbook pages in the style of the artwork and be creative e.g.
add colour washes to the background
All Pupils Must (Grade C or below): • Choose one Pop artist who has produced portraits and copy a piece of their artwork
(must be a portrait) in your homework sketchbook, examples of Pop Artists are on the next page
• Label the portrait, name of artist, date and materials used • Find some information about the artist/s and create a Pop Art fact file Most Pupils Should (Grade C+ - B): • Add colour or shading to your drawings • Answer questions from the content, form, process and mood format sheets, with the
option of using the sentence starters provided
Some Pupils Could (Grade B+ - A*): • Research Pop Artists of your own choice and draw at least two detailed studies of
their portraits • Label artwork, add colour carefully and present your sketchbook pages in a creative
way that suits the pop art theme • Compare the similarities and differences between the artwork of two or three Pop
Artists (preferably portrait pop artists) use a Venn diagram if this helps before typing or writing up your findings neatly
• After finding information on Pop Artists write about your opinion of their artwork (use the content, process, mood and form sheet attached to help when writing in your own words)
