An 18 hole championship golf course that rolls through tree-lined fairways, the club was founded in 1948 with the front nine designed by the legendary Donald Ross. George Cobb designed the back nine which opened in 1959.

This 6,567 yards, par 71 course was designed by George Dunlap and built in 1969. You won't find any parallel holes on this 150-acre course, which is framed by trees and occupied by several species of wild game. Springfield offers a picturesque tract of holes to challenge all levels. The design harkens back to traditional schemes of the 1920s, the Golden Age of Architecture in golf. Springfield has made a name for itself among Charlotte courses since opening in 2001. Improvements in 2010 included an upgrade of the greens to ultradwarf MiniVerde.

The 6,906 yard, par 72, Clyde Johnston designed layout is located on a wooded, hilly site. Four holes flank Sugar Creek, affording players spectacular views which include 13 holes that play across and along perennial streams that feed into the Catawba River.
