The Akrapovic SLIP-ON SP series for the TW 125 is designed to provide primar-ily an aesthetic enhancement of the motorcycle and the racing appeal offered by the renowned Akrapovic brand name. The system also offers a performance increase appropriate to the character and purpose of the motorcycle. SP SE-RIES exhaust systems are made of high-quality stainless steel in order to make the given model of exhaust system more affordable. The Akrapovic SLIP-ON SP series is approved for street use.

PERFORMANCE

Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON SP series system on the YAMAHA TW 125 (without noise damper):

Power & Torque: the Akrapovic SLIP-ON SP series system allows the engine to open up especially towards the bottom of the rpm range, which can be seen from the power and torque curves. The increase leads all the way up to 7000 rpm.

CONFIGURATION

The Akrapovic SLIP-ON SP series system is composed of a stainless steel conical link pipe and muffler. The link pipe is attached to the muffler with a sleeve joint held to-gether with silicon-shielded tensioning springs. The connection with the stock header assembly also uses a sleeve joint, which is secured with a metal clamp. The muffler outer sleeve is made of titanium, while the interior and the inlet and outlet caps are of stainless steel. The muffler is attached to the frame using an Akrapovic road carbon-fiber clamp. The muffler also contains a noise damper with which it which conforms to legal regulations for exhaust system use in road traffic.
