From the Chairman...

We had a beautiful and shalom filled Feast which gave us a time to focus on Yahweh and enjoy the fellowship of our family and brethren. The brethren all came with excitement and zeal and from the opening night we could really feel the energy and enthu-siasm and it only seemed to grow as the Feast went on.

FOT 2014 has been unique and far improved from the last three similar festivities held at the same venue. Drawing lessons from past experience, this event was better planned, better exe-cuted and full of excitement as a special event was added – the renewal of marriage vow for some couples for the first time ever. Truly, one can vividly see the fruits of the Feast in several aspects of spiritual development. The young people have a great time at the Feast, and built wonderful memories of obeying Yahweh at His special time. For children, the Feast of Tabernacles, with its spiritual focus and family bonding provided lifelong memories. Comments were all positive, and many expressed their desire to come back next year.

The Feast has been an integral part of our lives to which we devote time, thoughts and considerable financing through our second tithe. Deuteronomy 14:23 says: “And you shall eat before YAHWEH your Elo-him, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear YAHWEH your Elohim al-ways”. Our goal is to be true to the Word and to honor Yahweh in every way. Obtaining Yahweh’s great and wonderful gift of knowledge and understanding of His law and mercy are the keys to experiencing peace, joy and prosperity. Blessed are those who obeyed, observing the appointed Feasts of Yahweh.

We give all the credit to Almighty Yahweh for His abundant mercy and blessings.

With love in the service of Yahshua,

Elder Eddie D. Tadea

The first day of the Feast welcomed the brethren with Elder Efren Vi-llamor’s message on “The Light” with main reference to John 8:12, “Again Yahshua spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” He exhorted the brethren to con-tinually study and meditate on the Word as the only way of enriching knowledge more and more and getting closer to Yahshua Messiah, imitating Him as example.

The true essence of the Feast of Yahweh was deeply but simply explained by Deacon Abundio Remolleno, a newly recognized and appointed member of YAIY’s Board of Directors. Citing Leviticus 23:34-37, “The fifteenth day of this se-venth month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days unto Yahweh.” He emphasized the ultimate purpose of the Feast that is, for the brethren to fully satisfy themselves with spiritual food in the entire duration of the Feast.

Meanwhile, Elder Eddie Tadea’s messages started with enhancing love and unity in the assembly by introdu-cing ways to develop and continually enhancing spiritual values unto perfection. In his sermon entitled “How to Ma-nage Your Mouth”, he warned the brethren of the great dangers of the carelessness in the choice of words when com-municating with one another. He pointed out with emphasis that many people because of careless word have de-stroyed their marriage, or their career, or their reputation, or the reputation of another, or their assembly, or a friend-ship as Proverbs 18:21 says “The tongue can speak words that bring life or death. Those who love to talk must be ready to accept what it brings.” The message indeed struck many, realizing that everything the tongue speaks comes from the heart. Being careless in the choice of words could result to unreasonable misunderstanding and conflict among members of the family, so with the assembly. As a corrective measure, the elder stressed one must learn from James 1:19 which says “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” Analogous to traffic rule: “Stop, Look and Listen”, the elder further simplified the verse to mean that before anger takes controls of the per-son, he must stop talking but instead look at the situation first and listen carefully before releasing any word. He gave a follow up lecture in controlling oneself from sinning while at the height of anger in his next message about “How to Get Angry without Sinning.” On the Last Great Day, his message centered on how parents ought to train their children citing a reference from Proverbs 22:6 and Psalm 127:3-4 “Behold, children are a heritage from Yahweh, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.”

On the other end, Bro. Per Bayan addressed the need for strong and effective stewardship in the assembly by sharing “The Leadership Principles Yahshua Modelled.” Elders and deacons including Youth leaders present gained knowledge from several biblical examples and circumstances in the book of Matthew wherein Yahshua demonstrated His leadership styles when He personally recruited and trained His twelve disciples, exposed and challenged them for the ministry with His ways as example.

FOT 2014 has been unique and far improved from the last three si-milar festivities held at the same venue. Drawing lessons from past experi-ence, this event was better planned, better executed and full of excitement as a special event was added – the renewal of marriage vow for seven cou-ples for the first time ever. Truly, one can vividly see the fruits of the Feast in several aspects of spiritual development. For instance, the Youth for YAH led by their president Mark Louie Dimaisip has remarkably matured and im-proved not only physically but spiritually – exemplifying unity and strength in character in doing things that are pleasing to Yahweh Elohim. They distri-buted mini-studies and Visayan tracts to nearby residents. As a result, two

young people became interested in our faith and attended the remaining days of the Feast and signified intentions to attend Sabbath services in Digos. At the middle of the Feast, youth members Edward Ariel Tadea and Kristopher Bayan, both of Zamboanga edah, arrived from ongoing community service in Zamboanga del Sur as medical students, lectured on health tips to the adults and gathered the youth for a whole night bonding fellowship. Their creative talents stun-ningly surprised many as they performed during the Youth Night Presentation proving the outcome of enhanced team-work. Their strong commitment to serve in the ministry were good example to the little children who were intently watching them. In the same vein, Zamboanga edah’s men and women performed beyond expectations at its night presentation along with the Youth for YAH. Noteworthy too was the show of singing talent of the Asis family when they offered special numbers in both group and individual performances.

The Zamboanga Women for YAH initiated a personality development and enhancement session through self-reflection among women attending the Feast. Sister Neneng Bayan, a social worker lectured on husband and wife rela-tionship; Sister Sony Tadea, a college professor and guidance counselor gave some tips on “How to Stay Young and Beautiful” physically and spiritually; while Sister Jenny Dosil, a Department of Education (DepEd) district supervisor, shared her mastery in parent-children relationship. Testimonies of women revealed how much they appreciated the Zamboanga women’s initiative loaded with many challenges for a change in their attitude and sense of responsibility as parents and wives to their husbands.

Testimonies of brethren proved that FOT 2014 was effective in knowledge sharing as Yahweh filled His mes-sengers with wisdom including several young people who were appointed speakers in dawn meditations in short no-tice. A brother from DepEd, Simeon Ental, in his testimony described the Feast as informative, formative and trans-formative even as he listened intently, searching for and grasping every piece of knowledge from every speaker. He is right because in the first place, the Feast aimed to teach sound doctrines designed to change the person’s character

unto righteousness that meets Yahweh’s standards. At one Dawn Meditation, Bro. James Asis of Digos edah shared a short but meaningful message on “Trials and Testing” encouraging those who may be in distress or afflicted to humble themselves and praise Yahweh as James 1:2-4 reads “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” He ended his message with a quotation “Trials are not reason for giving up but inspiration to move forward.”

YAIY Philippines has been financially blessed that it is able to sustain the works and still maintains a reserve in treasury. This is perhaps because most of the brethren are cheerful givers even those that could hardly afford but are giving tithes from the heart. Such was the meat of Bro. Noli Tadea’s message when he lectured on tithing as Yahweh commanded with a promise of prosperity in Malachi 3:10 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove me now herewith, says Yahweh, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall be no room enough to receive it.” Bro. Noli exhorted the brethren to sincerely feel and accept Yahweh’s challenge “prove me now herewith” adding that we must trust Yahweh for He never lies. He does what He says for He finds glory and honor in everything He created. As a sign of obedience, heeding the call of the Al-mighty, FOT tithes increased sufficiently that the Finance Committee even retained a considerable amount in balance after paying all obligations incurred during the Feast. Praise Yahweh for His faithfulness!

We praise and thank Abba Yahweh for a blessed and wonderful FOT 2014. Comments were all positive, and many expressed their desire to come back next year. We give all the credit to Yahweh for His abundant mercy and blessings. Indeed this year’s FOT theme “I will pour out the Spirit of blessing and mercy…” proved to be true! To Abba Yahweh be the glory! TESTIMONIES

I thank and praise father Yahweh for all the blessings that

he had given to us. For the trials and challenges as well. I

thought I could not come and joined the Feast of Taberna-

cle because I felt discouraged and hopeless of what had

happened to my mother. Last month of August she passed

away and it was a great trepidations to us. How could we join and celebrate the Feast without her? I could still re-

member the days that she is with us. However, we're still

blessed and thankful to Father Yahweh, for the brethren

that helped and encouraged us to continue. It’s not loo-

sing someone in your life that you could no longer praise

and worship Abba Yahweh, but instead it's the first step of strengthening your faith to our Almighty Yahweh. I’m so

thankful that Yahshua Messiah our Sovereign King is in us.

He is really Good to us. Yah bless! Ardee James M. Asis

Surely, a man filled with hope in his heart and who delights

himself in the law of Yahweh, will always be secured and

stable in all his ways. That’s what I keep on telling myself

that whenever I’ve gone through such trial and testing that

absolutely breaks my heart and crashes my soul, I will

stand firm in Abba Yahweh’s steadfast love and put my trust only in Him. That was probably what happened to me

last Feast of Tabernacles 2014. Few months before the

Feast my mom died and it seems my world stopped turn-

ing. But Abba Yahweh is indeed our greatest comforter

because during the joyful celebration, I didn’t feel the

emptiness of losing her; instead I was unexpectedly filled with so much joy in my heart and was very motivated to

participate in all youth activities. He’s the one who keeps

the fire burning in my heart in which I will be prepared to

face eternity with Him. Then, I’ve realized that there is no

greater thing on earth than knowing Yahweh because I

owe everything to Him. Indeed, without Him, I am nothing

and I cannot do anything...Lara Asis

It's overwhelming! To have fun doing those daily activi-

ties, programs, presentations for the glory of our Al-

mighty Father Yahweh. It’s a blessing that we have

good leaders in the assembly because the programs

and activities were well prepared and organized. I really

have fun in our youth night presentation, giving pam-phlets to every households, bible sharing and games.

We’ve learned a lot! I believe that there would be more

activities in the coming Feast to encourage each youth

to be more aggressive in their commitment to Father

Yahweh, grow in faith as well and be more active. This

is for the glory of our Almighty Yahweh. Keep the faith for Yahweh's promise is eternal… Yahweh bless!

This 2014 Feast of Tabernacles was indeed blessed and

bliss. I can say that I was so grateful for this very success-

ful event. Everybody who came and attended was so

proud to experience the Feast guided by the Holy Spirit

through the message of elders and deacons. There was a

great presentation of the Youth for Yahshua and the Zamboanga Edah which opened up and changed every-

one’s lives...Chona Agudo

Bible Verse in Focus

“For YAHWEH Elohim is a sun and shield; YAHWEH bestows favor and honor, no

good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” 1 Peter 1:22

Yahweh wants to pour out His favor and goodness in your life. He longs to be your sun and shield. What does that mean? The sun provides light from the darkness of the night; it gives warmth to ward away chill and cold; it nourishes the earth on which we plant our crops so that we can have food. The entire earth is sustained by its relationship to the sun, and Yahweh wants to sustain you through your relationship with Him. He wants to be your shield of protection against all the fiery darts of the enemy, and He wants to light and direct your path.

Is there someone or something else you’ve been relying on for protection or direction? Why don’t you let go of

whatever you’ve been leaning on and choose to lean on Yahweh. When we put our hope and trust in Yahweh,

we strengthen our relationship with Him. In turn, He is the sun that shines our way forward into more blessings

and deeply-satisfying lives.
