Welcome to Year 4We would like to share what your child will experience and how they will grow, achieve and develop in Year 4.

Most societies use money as a system of exchange for goods and services.

The changing nature of the earth has an effect on people’s lives.

Life in Primary 4Your child needs:-• a pencil case• ink pen• 4B pencils for drawing/HB

for writing• glue stick• 30 cm ruler• eraser• scissors• whiteboard marker• protractor 180• Hat and water bottle• Please make sure

everything is labelled

Library and Home-Learning• Learning Resource Centre – children will have the opportunity during the week to change their library books at morning break or lunch break. The library will also be used by classes for research to support their learning. Each class will also have a weekly session in the library.

• Home-learning – will be given out on a sheet once a fortnight and also placed on the Gateway. The sheet will be glued into home-learning books. There will be set tasks which must be completed as well as a selection of optional activities. Reading, spelling and multiplication tables will be on-going. Unless otherwise stated, all work is to be done in the Home Learning Book. Mandarin home-learning will also be included on this sheet.

school• Update your email with the office if you

aren’t getting our Year 4 emails.
