ON DECEMBER 4 It’s almost here! You do not want to miss Cookeville Christian Children’s

Be sure to join us after the musical for the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christmas Celebration Service in Dogwood Park. This will be our evening worship service.

Cookeville Christian Children’s Creative Ministry began right here at First Baptist from a vision God laid on children’s choir leaders hearts to provide an opportunity for children in our community to worship and minister through music and drama. The Lord has provided us with more children participating from throughout the community and this venue through

which to share His Christmas message, and we are so excited! Happily placed between the Christmas parade and the tree lighting

Stewardship Verse As God blesses us, our response

should be one of gratitude and thanksgiving.

"When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the Lord

your God for the good land which He has given you." (Deut. 8:10)

Spend a few hours making disadvantaged children’s lives a little brighter this Christmas season. You have two opportunities to serve at the Lighthouse

Christian Camp Christmas Parties with the girls on Saturday, December 3 or the boys on Saturday, December 10. Both parties are from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

A group will be carpooling from the church at 7:45 a.m. If you want to go with this group, please call the church office to let us know. Otherwise, show up at Lighthouse at 9 a.m. At the Christmas party, a “camp store” is set up . Items are placed on tables and valued from $1-10. Each child is given play money to shop for their family members. For more information on the parties contact Steve Sharpe at 931-738-3845.

BRING JOY TO CHILDREN AT LIGHTHOUSE THIS CHRISTMAS

Make plans to join us on Sunday evening Dec. 11th at 6:00p for our FBC Christmas Musical, How Many Kings & Celebration, Christmas Around the World.

Our Worship Ministries Teams, Choirs and Ensembles, under the direction of our Pastor of Worship, Todd Arnold, will be leading us in a time of worship and celebration as we remember and re-center our focus on the greatest gift in history, Jesus! Join us as we get to experience Christmas music from various cultures in their native language from all around the world. Immediately following the service, the fellowship time of the Christmas Celebration will be held in the FLC and Fellowship Hall. We ask everyone to participate in this event with their presence and by bringing holiday finger foods, hors d’oeuvres or snacks. We will also need help with set-up before, serving during

and tear-down after the event. There will be sign-up sheets located around the Welcome Desk and in the church office for you to let us know where or how you plan to be involved. We could also use globes to be used as decorations. Please keep your eyes and ears open in the coming days as to other areas of need and how you can join us to celebrate Christmas!
