9 students of the school attended The Model United Nations Conference 2019 at Mayo College Girls’ School from 25th to 27th April 2019.
5 students from the school participated in ‘Technotsav’ at Jodhpur, organised by Mayoor Chopasni School with two projects and the following awards were won:
* Manas Bansal & Mehul Goel - 3rd position for ‘Best Innovative Idea’
* Deepesh Vasnani, Chitransh Motwani & Bhavesh Sharma stood 1st in the category of ‘Best Presentation and Practicality’.
6 students participated at the ‘Technacks -2019’, a 2 day IT Fest conducted on 6th & 7th August 2019, by Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur. Following students secured positions :-
* Chitransh Motwani-1st in ‘Digital Ocean’
* Deepesh Vasnani & Keerat Singh Saluja -1st in IT Quiz.
* Chitransh Motwani & Aayushi Agarwal -2nd in ‘Lights, Camera, Actions’
14 students participated in the Sports Fest at Jaishree Periwal Global School , Jagatpura, Jaipur on 6th August 2019. We won the 1st Runners-up Trophy (Junior Category). The individual positions were as follows :

4 teams of the school participated in India's biggest Psychology Quiz , PsychED, on 7th August, 2019 with one team comprising Tamanna Bansal (XII Hum), Priyanshu Lodha (XII Hum) and Himanshi Punjabi (XI Sci.) reaching the Zonal finals held at Fortis Hospital, Jaipur on 19th August 2019.
4 students attended the 17th Kusum Verma Memorial National Inter School English Festival at Springdales School, New Delhi. Pragati Pant (XII Hum.) bagged the 2nd position in Poetry Recitation.
2 students participated in the 14th Shri Gilroy Martins Memorial Interschool Quiz Competition held at St. Stephens Senior Secondary School and secured the 2nd Runners-up position .

19 students participated in the Silver Jubilee Commemorative Young Thinkers’ Conclave at Mayo College Girls’ School, on 26th and 27th August 2019 . The awards won were :-
* Rajesh Choudhary (Best Speaker), Vaibhav Madhani (Best Rebuttal), overall 2nd position in Hindi Debate.
25 students attended the All India Painting competition "Paani ki Kahani " held at Turning Point School, Ajmer conducted by INTACH on 19th February, 2019. Akshika Dave emerged the Regional Winner with 20th Rank at National Level.
IAYP students of classes 9th , 10th and 11th attended a programme for Silver and Bronze Medals at Hikers’ Retreat, Sariska , Alwar.
Ø11 students participated in ENTENTE -MUN conducted by Maheswari Public School, Jaipur.

The club aims to foster an interest in different forms of art and create awareness about them. The students are driven to explore their creativity and further their talents in various styles of art. These varieties include Kaawar Painting, beadwork, needlework, craft with sootli, weaving, clay modelling, direct plasterwork and mosaic work.
Biology Club
Teachers In-charge: Smt. Bhavna Jain and Ms. Rinku Chouhan
The club serves the purpose of broadening the scientific horizons of its members beyond what they learn in classrooms and textbooks. The students regularly engage in activities on- and off-campus to develop a positive association with the natural environment. They have worked individually to make terrariums, calculate Body Mass Index, planting roses and organic seeds.
The activities they performed as groups worked towards improving their communication and collaboration skills. The students performed a role play to generate awareness against Rubella and Measles. They were also taught the process of making a compost pit to promote environmental preservation and developed an interest in recent scientific developments through a science quiz.
Best Out of Waste Club
Teacher In-charge: Smt. Shelly Yadav
The students of this club are encouraged to present their creativity by preparing artisanal and useful items through materials that are discarded as waste and harm the environment. Each week the students create something new from waste materials like newspapers, plastic and glass bottles. Their creativity takes new shape in the form of vases, utility boxes, wall hangings, and even electric lights to complement festivities.
Career Counselling Club
Teacher In-charge: Smt. Pratibha Mehra and Sh. Saurabh Mundra
The club introduces students to various career options and guides them through various opportunities for higher education and employment. They are provided information about different entrance examinations and opportunities in foreign countries. Each week the club takes up and discusses a career option in great depth. Often experts are invited to provide information about their fields. The club also organizes a career-counselling programme annually, in order to assist students. They are also given advice about personal interviews and making a resume.
Chemistry Club

The students perform experiments that allow them to gain knowledge about the properties and applications of substances that we encounter daily. These experiments include the preparation of items like soaps and candles, testing the acidic or basic nature of soils for application in agriculture and preparation and handling of certain lab apparatus.
Cookery Club

The aim of the club is to inculcate the essential life skill of cooking within the students. Each week they enthusiastically prepare a range of recipes. They are also educated on serving those dishes and maintaining a clean kitchen. At the end of each cooking session, they present their dishes to members of the staff to win their appreciation.Computer ClubTeachers In-charge: Sh. Consumer Awareness Club

The students are educated about the responsibilities and duties of being a consumer, which is an integral part of our lives. To this extent, they informally learn how to obtain information about a good or bad service, the psychology of buying and selling, consuming wisely and differentiating between their wants and needs. They are made aware of their rights, civic duties and mechanisms to address their grievances as consumers.
The students engage in discussions on a range of topics, for instance on the Consumer Protection Act, to impart information. The students performed various creative activities, including designing the club's logo, making pamphlets for Earth Day, creating cards consumer issues and designing 'Jago Grahak Jago' advertisements among several others. They also produced questionnaires and conducted interviews for consumer awareness
Dance Club
Teachers In-charge: Smt. Sheelu Ramchandani and Ms. Ravina Chauhan
The students of the dance club were first introduced to the basics of certain classical dances like Kathak and Odissi. The students worked towards developing their confidence to a point where they could choreograph the steps themselves. They worked towards this by learning the nuances of solo, duet and group performances, learning steps and rhythm themselves. The group also maintain a healthy competition between members by calling-out the best performers to display their skills to their peers. Gradually, the students gained skills in various dance forms and performed on multiple occasions. These included a Kathak performance for the Independence Day programme.
The club is divided into various groups according to the students' interests in areas of ICT: Animation using Flash, Web Designing, Troubleshooting, Presentation, E-Content, Desktop Publishing- using Scribus and 3D-modelling using Sketch-Up1. E-Content: The objective of E-content is to enable members to understand
the importance of the web as a medium of information and communication. Understand the principles of creating an effective web page and become familiar with designing web pages. The members gathered information closely related to the course work of class IX to XII. This could help the students understand the concepts related to the topic in a better way.
2. Troubleshooting: A group of 5 members was made, which was trained to handle all the IT related issues which a teacher can face during the school hours. This helped members to learn the technical skills also.
3. Web Designing: The objective of Web Designing is to enable members to understand the importance of the web as a medium of communication, understand the principles of creating an effective web page and become familiar with designing web pages. The members gathered information, created web pages for different events and uploaded the same on the local web server.
4. Presentation: The objective of presentation is to show that slides are simply another visual aid to support your presentation - just as a flip chart is! PowerPoint is merely a visual aid. The objective is to give essential knowledge to the members about presentation and tell them the basic use and key points about making a presentation. The members prepared various presentations like Big Data, Block Chain Technology and Chat Bots.
5. Scribus: The objective of Scribus is to create brochures, booklets, books, magazines, calendars and any type of document which you plan to print or make available electronically, including presentations. It has a feature-rich interface and the functionality to allow the user to create professiona- quality print output. Scribus is designed for the task of creating a page lay out, and is excellent in this area. The members were able to edit the pictures.
6. Google Sketch Up: The Objective is to promote 3D modelling to create architectural drawings, either to communicate their ideas to someone, or just so you can build your dream house or a school cricket pavilion. The group has prepared 3D models of various parts of the school campus and how the project of School Cricket Pavilion can be implemented.

It facilitates this by debating, an activity that contributes towards improving their confidence and making them well-rounded individuals along while contributing to educational achievement.Students lead the club and work in unison to achieve their aims, producing an environment that develops their skills and allows them to argue effectively in a variety of contexts. The members initially explored topics close to their curriculum before broadening their scope. They tackle these topics in either 'Long-preparation' (requiring up to a week of research) or 'Short-preparation'(as little as 15 minutes for preparation) debates. They prepare their debates either as groups or individuals but the entirety of the club dissects each debate after a presentation. Through this process students allowed each other and the club as a whole to improve over the weeks.

Annpurna MaheshwariThe club's aim is to assemble a group of like-minded students that have a vested interest in ecology, evolution, matters pertaining to the natural environment and other branches of natural sciences. It educates and sensitizes the students on the problems that plague our environment and engages them in efforts to preserve it. The students partook in several activities in-keeping with this goal. They prepared and used compost, made biodegradable enzyme cleaner and natural mosquito repellent. They also planted seeds within the campus and identified and labelled existing flora.English Dramatics Club

The club functions through the collaboration between students to produce an atmosphere that allows students to bloom as writers and actors. They participated in ice-breaking sessions introducing themselves creatively, these sessions resulted in the club becoming a close-knit group, an essential component of any theatre troupe. The students gain experience in scripting individually and collaboratively by writing and performing scripts. It was also necessary for students to review each other's work that improves their critical thinking and analysis skills. Each week they were introduced to different genres of acting or given a theme to write on. The students scripted in groups and performed them in front of fellow-members who then reviewed their work.

Indian Music Club

The club instructs students in various Indian instruments, in a way that permits them to succeed as musicians. The students learn a multitude of 'Ragas', for instance, the Gat of Rag Kalawati on instruments like Harmonium, Xylophone, Sitar and Violin. The students also learned the Teental, Dadra, Kehrwa, and Ektaal with ‘Farmaishi Paran’ on the Tabla. Certain members of the club have also participated in various school events.
Global Citizen's Club

The club's purpose is to foster a sense of belonging to humanity among students which drives them to be active and contributing members of society. It propagates the virtues of empathy and community through charitable and philanthropic work. They have donated clothes, books and other essential stationery to the Minu Mano Vikas Mandir School. The students fulfill their responsibility towards society and learn to respect people by visiting the old age home 'Sahil', assisting in developing educational aids for the school's inclusive centre "Prayaas" and raised money to install a water-cooler for patients at JLN Hospital, Ajmer.

Shivani JhaThe club allows students to imbibe the skills of a good debater and orator within themselves, by allowing them to improve their speaking skills, logical reasoning, and expression of views and develop their confidence. To do this, the students were asked to debate for and against topics that gradually increased in difficulty with each session improving their prowess as debaters. Often the students were given extempore debate topics and work in groups that contributed greatly to the club's aims.

INTACH club
Teacher In-charge: Sh. Vijay Sharma
The club's objective is to spread awareness about the heritage and culture that form the identity of our country. In order to do this the members of the club visit various locations and structures within our city that carry historical and cultural significance. This year they visited Barahdari, Shahid Smarak, Abdulla and Bibi ka Maqbara, Soni Ji ki Nasiyan and the Robson Memorial Church. These visits are accompanied by information about their significance which the students record and compile at the end of the year. This practice gives students a deeper appreciation of these sites and instills a sense of pride and responsibility which drives them to conserve this rich heritage.
This year the students also attended a talk about the Heritage of Ajmer and Bird Watching given by eminent photojournalist Sh. Deepak Sharma and Sh. Rishi Raj Singh respectively.
IAYP Club
Teacher In-charge: Smt. Isha Srivastava and Ms. Sapna Dansereau
The club is aimed towards the students hoping to obtain the ‘International Award for Young People’. It motivates them to be involved in a balanced program of voluntary self-development activities that prepares them to navigate the tumultuous period of transition from an adolescent to an adult. The students engage in recreational physical activities and embark on adventurous excursions. The students also perform social service, which includes assisting the support staff in cleaning the school, visiting the "Jai Mata" old age home to spend time with the aged, the students prepared a street play to address local issues as well.
Library Squad
Teacher In-charge: Sh. Ajay Rawat
The club facilitates the development of reading and learning as recreational activities while teaching students the essentials of managing a library. The club enables the development of positive personal attributes among students. The members participate in several organized storytelling sessions, which develops healthy reading habits and are taught the method to organize books categorically, given access to the library's resources and made aware of the importance of books.
Mathematics Club
Teacher In-charge: Smt. Shruti Khanna
The club intends to generate interest in mathematics and caters to students that have a penchant for mathematics and logical reasoning. The members were familiarized with the numerical aptitude test which measures their arithmetic ability and accuracy in calculations enabling them to partake in various competitive examinations. The students from the middle sections also practised origami in order to enhance their spatial, visualization and sequencing skills.
Movie-Making Club
Teacher In-charge: Sh. Devendra Bagla
The movie-making club creates opportunities for students that are interested in movie making. Its members interact with each other to learn and gain hands-on experience. The club is student-led and student representatives impart their knowledge about various movie-making tools and when necessary the teacher in-charge performs this role to improve the students' skills.
The students were introduced to the video camera and instructed about the main functions of the handy cam. They were also taught to consider certain points while shooting, which include framing the shot, the backgrounds and sunlight and preventing unnecessary sounds like clapping from being recorded.
They were also given a demonstration about the use of the professional handy cam and the tripod. The students gained an insight into gaining different heights, moving sideways, zooming in and out, fast and slow mode and balancing the camera using the tripod. They were also introduced to the basic features of a professional camera like handling the camera from different positions, installing the battery, adjusting the focus manually and automatically and sound settings.
On the software end of movie-making, they were taught to prepare short stories from images using Photostory. The students were also familiarized with Acoustica and Cyberlink Power Director which can be used for audio editing and video editing and production respectively.

MUN Club

The club promotes a global outlook within its members, who are made aware of current world affairs pertaining to peacekeeping, sustainable development, disarmament and the role of international peacekeeping organizations. The club is spearheaded by students that engage in intense debates and deliberations on various agenda, based on the current global scenario. Each week the students simulate different committees that prompt them to research extensively on an agenda.
This year several students of the club participated in a number of interschool MUN conferences, which include the MCGSMUN, Daly College MUN and the ENTENTE MUN. The members of the club also organize and participate in the Inter-house Model United Nations Conference each year.
National Cadet Corps
Teacher In-charge: Sh. Arjun Singh
The school's National Cadet Corps has been established under the guidance of 2 Rajasthan Arty Bty. NCC. It aims to inculcate discipline and unity in the lives of its students and ensures that they always prioritize their nation, whichever direction their lives take, whichever occupation they are a part of. To accomplish this, the cadets enrolled in Mega Swachhta Pakhwada, held from 17th September to 2nd October 2019, which involved cleaning the drains, streets, statues and parks of the city. The cadets also attended the CATC at Kayad Vishramsthali, Ajmer. Through this, the cadets also have a unique opportunity to become a part of the Indian Armed Forces.
Origami Club
Teacher In-charge: Smt. Sandeep Kaur
The club teaches and creates awareness about Origami, the art of folding a square sheet of paper into a finished sculpture solely through folding and sculpting techniques. Apart from being an enjoyable exercise the process of making a creature or an object from a piece of paper enhances spatial reasoning and teaches symmetry through folds. The figures students have learned to make via video tutorials include butterflies, dragons, sunglasses, and a flexahedron.
Photography Club

The members of the club seek to hone their creative skills and technical expertise in the art of photography. It provides a holistic atmosphere for this purpose where the interaction of students and the consequent exchange of information and knowledge drives their development.
The members are taught the quintessential functions of a camera like zooming, deletion of images, usage of the flash, controlling aperture, speed and the types of lenses. They used these skills to capture multiple events at Mayoor like the One Act Plays, Inter-House Cultural Weeks, Sporting events and inter-school competitions.
The members work in four groups, each of them with a topic like Emotions, Green, Faceless etc. The students compiled these topical photos with their own landscape photography to produce a portfolio for display at the exhibitions.
Psychonauts’ Club
Teacher In-charge: Ms. Tvishi Sharma and Ms. Payal Mahawar
The students in the club are allowed to observe psychology in the real world; this creates an understanding of the psychological phenomenon and reduces the stigmas associated with them. The students conducted a multitude of activities that enabled them to develop an interest in psychology. These included Lateral Thinking Puzzles, Exercises in stress management, the "Draw a person in the rain test", introduction to graphology and many more that used tests, videos and discussions to explore various subject areas in psychology.

The fundamental objectives of the club include developing skills of scientific inquiry, addressing the student's aspirations of going beyond the textbooks, applying the principles and techniques of physics to obtain a solution to a problem and provide a platform to students that want to explore their talents in Physics. They completed many experiments to complement their knowledge of science, which included making a snake pendulum, verifying the Doppler Effect and finding reaction time. The students also put up many projects enthusiastically, these included a chain reaction, constructing a bi-pedal robot, solar car among several more.
Robotics Club

The students of the club develop a skill-set for the 21st century; this involves algorithmic problem-solving, analyzing data, collaboration and robotics. Students are allowed to improve their capabilities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) from a young age. They explore STEM through projects which include making Traffic Light, Conveyor Belt and Light Following Car at the primary level and Intelligent Home, Object Counter and an Industrial Robot among others at the senior level.
Street Theatre Club
Teachers In-charge: Ms. Preeti Sharma and Smt. Karuna Tandon
The club promotes an affection for theatre and all its intricacies through direct involvement, it aims to provide a quality theatrical experience and ensures a comfortable working environment that caters to the emotional, artistic and educational needs of the students. It is taught as an enjoyable method of spreading awareness of a more moral nature.
The students are first introduced to the informality and closer-to-life performances that are integral to street theatre through videos and impromptu topics to perform. Following this sessio,n the students can now choose which avenue of Street Theatre to foray into.
In the following weeks the students engage in identifying relevant social issues to represent, learning various techniques of Improvisational Theatre and preparing street plays. The outcome of their hard work was on display during numerous presentations that included a play on Measles and Rubella Vaccines Awareness, and on themes like 'Cleanliness' and 'Examination Blues'.
Scouts and Guides club

Weather Reporting Club
Teacher In-charge: Sh. Ivan Francis Everett
The club collects the meteorological data for the city and Stuttgart, which includes the maximum and minimum temperatures and the rainfall. The club contributes this data to the weather report which is read at each assembly.
Western Music Club
Teacher In-charge: Sh. Ivan Francis Everett, Sh. Shubham Keenja and Sh. Dhannalal
The club grants students an opportunity to gain familiarity with a range of musical practices and traditions which include American popular, Western-classical ad non-Western practices. The students are encouraged to contemplate the cultural, historical and cognitive facets of music along with the creation and performance. The members of the club perform at multiple school events like the Independence Day, Exhibitions and Prize Giving.

The year 2019 had its fair share of activities. Activities - academic and non academic are the life blood of a school. They keep the yearly calendar alive. The budding talent of the students is nurtured through a plethora of cultural activities integrated in the school curriculum. To inculcate a love of reading, creativity and capacity for analytical thinking, the students are exposed to various co- curricular activities ranging from dramatics to arts, dance, music, craft and clay modelling.
At the Intra school level, we had Hindi and English Recitation, Story Enactment , Character Enactment and Essay Writing competitions to develop expression and communication skills .Other areas included music both vocal and instrumental dance, solo and group, quiz, art and craft including Rangoli making, Clay Modelling, Flower Making and Card Making . In computers we had puzzle making and Power Point presentations. All these activities gave expressions to our creative Mayoorites .These activities are organized at Inter - House level so that we develop a competitive spirit and learn to work as a team.
Students participated in the Inter - School competitions organised by various schools in and around the city. Such competitions not only allowed the children to evaluate where they stand among other school but also gave them opportunities for self assessment. It provides an incentive for self improvement.
Flair Fest was held on 8th and 9th August, 2019 at Jayshree Periwal High School Jaipur, the children participated in the various events held on both the days.
On 8th August,Sukhad Saraswat of II-C and Advik Baheti of class II-B participated in the Poster Making Competition.
Agamjeet Singh Sodhi of class IV- C and Kritin Goyal of class II- B participated in the ‘Belling the Spelling’ Competition.
Saumya Singh of V-B and Shivanshi Bansal of V-D participated in the Design a Dress Competition.
On 9th August , Mehar Singh of class VI- D and Jaianant Agarwal of V- D participated in the Quiz Competition. In the Travel and Brochure designing competition Siyona Rae of class III-B and Lavanya Pant of class IV-A participated. Lavanya Pant won the consolation prize.
In the Inter School IT Fest -FOSS SPARX 2019 hosted by our school, Abhijat Soni of class IV-B and Aadey Dave of V-B participated in the Digi Fable Competition.They secured the second position.
Agamjeet Singh Sodhi of IV- C and Varchasva Agarwal of V-B participated in the Logi Check Competition. They secured the third position.
Educational Tours
Educational Tour to Chittorgarh, Udaipur and Kumbhalgarh was organised for the students of class V from November 8 to 12, 2019. The group visited Chittorgarh Fort, Shilpgram, Fatehsagar Lake, Lok Kala Mandal and Kumbhalgarh Fort.
Educational Tour to Bikaner was organised for the children of class IV from November 8 to 12, 2019. The students visited Nagaur Fort, Junagarh Fort, Camel Breeding Farm, Karni Mata Temple and Bikaneri Bhujia Factory.
They attended a Tie & Dye workshop, participated in Parasailing, Artificial Wall Climbing and Roller Zorbing activities and spent an evening on the sand dunes
These tours have their recreational value as well as serve as a great learning experience for the students.
Celebrations
The children celebrate both national and international festivals throughout the year. Festivals like Christmas, Makar Sakranti, Holi, Earth Day, Foundation Day, Tri Colour Day, The International Peace Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Global Hand Washing Day were celebrated with fun and fervour.
CCA Club Activities
We at Primary have 28 clubs which provide opportunities to students to take initiatives which are beyond the scope of text books and routine classroom interactions. Our school organises Cleanliness Drive on every Wednesday in the C.C.A lesson to create awareness regarding Cleanliness and its benefits. The students of classes III- V clean the nearby localities and also our school and have taken up this noble task with great pride. Members of 15 clubs along with 18 teachers have cleaned areas of Ajmer till the last Wednesday of November 2019.

Sports DayGames and sports are an integral part of our school curriculum. The Annual Sports for Classes III-V was held on 5th October 2019, where each and every child participated in the various track and field events. The students of Class III displayed a colourful drill employing the special props beautifully. Class IV displayed Yoga postures like Surya Namaskar, Vriksha Asana,Tadasana,Vajrasan and formed human pyramids displaying their flexibility and strength. Class V displayed their skills in Karate with a lot of enthusiasm. They exhibited ‘Pot Breaking’ and ‘Brick Breaking’ techniques brilliantly. The Annual Sports Day for classes NUR to II was on 23rd Nov '19. Children displayed a few yogic exercises and colourful drills .They participated in fun races which helped them to develop team spirit and co-ordination.
Internationalism @ Mayoor (Primary)Collaborative Project with John M. Karras Kindergarten Athens, Greece The students of classes Pre primary, I and II come face to face on Skype with the students of the partner school in Greece on pre-decided days and shared their experiences about the celebration of the national and international festivals and international weeks. They also shared photographs and their Art and Craft work through e-mails.
Exchange of Letters and Greetings with students of St. Ives , North Primary School, Sydney, Australia.The students of classes IV and V exchanged letters and cards with the children of St. Ives , North Primary School, Sydney, Australia. The children on both the sides shared the information about themselves, their country, its culture and the various festivals celebrated.
International Week/FestivalsOur school's vision is to develop a balanced individual deeply rooted in Indian culture with a global outlook, upholding this vision we provide our students with a number of learning opportunities. At Mayoor we celebrate many national as well as international festivals. This year we celebrated Songkran, Earth Day, Japanese Week, International Peace Day and Thanksgiving Day. These celebrations enhanced the student's global learning.
International Mela The students of Classes III- V celebrated internationalism by organising an International Mela ( Fair) on 15th March 2019. The activity included the study of nearly 20 countries across the globe. The children became familiar with the location, physical features, flora-fauna, tourist places, monuments, costumes, food, art and craft and other aspects of the rich culture of these countries.
Pre Primary ActivitiesAt the Pre Primary level the young ones were exposed to a variety of fun filled activities, games, experiments, celebrations and interactive sessions with eminent community helpers.The kids celebrate each Friday as an Active Friday. They indulge in various activities like Show and Tell, Baking and Cooking, Water Play, Make a Compost Pit, Card Making and Art and Craft. They also observed The Corn Day, Bubble Day, Fruit Salad Day and Lemonade Day. They participated in Fancy Dress Shows, Hindi and English Recitation, Ramleela and Dance. A visit to the Mayo Aviary, home to different species of birds, was organised in the month of September. The little ones walked around, gazing excitedly at different birds in their specially created habitats. In addition to this, children participated in the Hindi and English Recitation, Western and Indian Group Singing, Group Dance , Quiz and enjoyed the Puppet show. Besides this there were also many class activities like Mock Market, Fruit Salad Day, Plantation Day, Recipe Making , Sprouts and Corn Day , Visit to the Post Office and ‘Mayoor Haat’. Learning was not limited to the classrooms but they were exposed to many outdoor activities including games and sports, mass PT, and Yoga.

Peace DayStudents from classes Nursery to V celebrated the International Peace Day on September 20, 2019.The following activities were conducted throughout the day - Thematic Assembly, Art and Craft work, Yoga exercises, singing songs related to peace, making ' I Promise' cards, slogan writing and listening to stories about the peace ambassadors of the world. Students from Nursery to II came dressed in white.
Japanese WeekThe students of classes Nursery to II celebrated 'The Japanese Week' from July 22 to 26, 2019. Throughout the week they learnt about the Japanese culture, greetings, art & craft, music and food.On the final day children came dressed up in traditional Japanese ensemble, performed dances, enactments, participated in a quiz and relished the famous Japanese cuisine.

Art /Craft /Clay Modelling Club

Art, craft and design stimulate creativity and imagination. They provide visual, tactile and sensory experiences and a special way of understanding and responding to the world. It enables children to communicate what they see, feel and think through the use of colour, texture, form, pattern and different materials and processes. Children become involved in shaping their environments through art, craft and design activities. They learn to make aesthetic and practical decisions.
Craft Activities: The students learnt to make the chain stitch by hand without using crochet. They used the colourful jute and made a string of chain stitch and then shaped it differently to create coasters, table mats, and bags.
They also learnt the now vintage art of knitting and created vibrant sling bags. In this activity they learnt the most important skill of handling the needles and the yarn. They created embellished kites using colourful papers, laces, mirrors, beads etc.
Art : The members of this club were introduced to different styles of painting including regional, traditional, tribal and Indian Folk Art. They made different paintings like miniature ,Warli and Madhubani. They also did collage and bead work.
Clay Modelling: The members of this club made figures of animals, ( tortoise, fish, horse, birds, snake) pots, diyas, vases, masks and human faces using paper mache and clay.
Calligraphy Club
Teacher In - charge: Smt. Steffi Tabita Massey
The objective of the club is to introduce students to new, innovative writing styles and to motivate children to write beautifully and neatly. The members of the club practice the different styles of calligraphy using calligraphy pens, they use the various style of calligraphy in writing slogans, decorating the greeting cards and writing captions for the display boards.
The members practice various types of calligraphy like;
Old England style- (Gothic) using pencil and then a calligraphy pen, 3D- Graffiti style, Shadow Style bold letters, Curly and Curly strokes(small and capital letters), Number Calligraphy, Stencil Form (without using a stencil), Black Chancery, Decorative Calligraphy, Tattoo Font Hindi style writing and Bubble Calligraphy.
The members of the club formed their own calligraphy styles by mixing 2 or 3 different styles and also created their own style.
Cookery Club
Teachers In charge: Smt. Khushbhoo Gupta, Smt. Bhumika Saxena, Smt. Pramila Nagrani, Smt. Sangeeta Jangid .
The aim of the Cookery club is to help the children to learn about the value of nutritious food and develop the habit of healthy eating. It develops their interest in cooking and enhances their culinary skills.
The members of the club learnt different techniques of cooking and the estimation of the quantity of the ingredients used. They enriched their vocabulary related to different terms of cooking, preparation required before cooking and cleaning the area, post cooking.
They maintained their own Cookery book which has the records of the recipes made and the dishes that can be included as appetizers, starters, main course and desserts.
They cooked various dishes including salads, shakes, mocktails, chaat, desserts, snacks, biscuit layer cake, Monaco biscuit topping, tricolour sweets and ladoos, bhel puri, bread dahi vada and cheesy nachos.
Computer Club

The club aims at providing young students hands-on-experience with the software such as Tux Paint, Libre Office Writer, Impress and GIMP to promote their creativity and practical knowledge. The club is divided class wise. To make the students familiar with the different features and tools of the software, theme based activities are designed every month.

Using GIMP - Painting, text and image manipulation using different tools (fuzzy, crop, flip, rotate, scale, etc.), brushes, Layer modes and filters (distort, map, artistic, render, etc.). Puzzle Collage, Page tear effect, Paint dripping effect on image and text, Image inside text, Fish tank out of a light bulb are some of the activities.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the members of the club designed a presentation on Fairs and Festivals of India.
Dance Club

The club helps students develop confidence and learn different dance forms so that they are able to choreograph their own steps and express themselves in front of everyone. They gain knowledge about the rhythm, beats, gestures and sense of coordination within a group.
Students learn KATHAK dance and tell various stories through their hand movements, extensive footwork and facial expressions. The club also offers teaching of different dance forms such as Freestyle and Folk. Members of the club presented a group dance on Tricolour Day on 13th August 2019.
English Dramatics Club

The objective of the club is to enhance communication skills, develop confidence, stimulate creativity and work collaboratively.

CharanThe objective of the club is to expose the children to different genres of stories and their features so that they are able to write and subsequently narrate the stories in an interesting manner.The members of the club had many ice breaking sessions in which each child had to talk about their dreams and aspirations in the wackiest manner possible. The students also related their expectations from the club and a plan about the same was made by students and the teacher. Fables, Myths and Legends were read and the students narrated those in their own words. Topics were given and brain storming was done, then they created their own stories and narrated them. Story telling as an art form was also demonstrated and revealed and students tried to improve upon their narration skills.

The club aims to offer programmes and activities to create a clean and green consciousness among students, to involve them in efforts to preserve environment and to motivate them on how to imbibe habits and lifestyle for minimum waste generation.
The members of the club undertook various activities like making of paper carry bags, they pledged not to use polythene bags and motivated others by writing slogans on environment and putting them on school walls and in the garden to generate awareness. They presented a Nukkad Natak on Independence Day to stop plastic usage, created innovative eco friendly gift wrapping styles, made bird feeders out of the shoe boxes and placed them around the school campus. The members designed devices called -'Pollution Catchers'.
Gardening Club

The garden engages students by providing a dynamic environment to observe, discover, experiment, nurture and learn. Through the garden students gain an understanding of the ecosystem, an appreciation for food origins and nutrition, knowledge of plants and animal life cycles.
The club undertook various activities like group discussion on various methods and types of gardening, sapling plantation using organic gardening techniques, weeding and watering, routine garden work, learning the methods of soil tilling, reusing plastic bottles for making decorative pots ,making figures using plastic and earthen pots, creating banners, thanks giving cards for people at work in the school including gardeners and grounds men, decorating stones and pebbles, making mushrooms using cardboards and aluminium foil. The members of the club presented a Nukkad Nathak, 'Say No to Plastic and Polythene’ on the Tri Colour Day on 13th August 2019.

Hetal VyasThe objective of the club is to create innovative things out of the waste materials and explore the creativity of the students in designing jewellery items like bracelets, necklaces, ear rings by using quilling strips, beads, (wooden, crystal, glass, ceramic etc.)The members of the club use simple quilling shapes like heart shape, eye shape, square shape and artificial flowers to make butterflies, flowers and different types of patterns. They make best use of waste products like paper from old magazines, old wrapping paper, newspaper, aluminium foil, ice cream sticks, old socks, water bottles and cardboard in creating book marks, bags, baskets, pen stand, bird house, flower pots and puppets. Manners and Etiquette ClubTeachers In- charge : Smt. Gunjan BharadwajGood manners cost us nothing, but may win almost everything. They are the skills of making people feel easy and comfortable. We can have better relationships with people we know and meet in day to day life just by behaving well. The club is intended to heighten the student's appreciation and awareness towards good manners. If they show good manners everywhere they go, then they are more likely to encourage others to behave in the same way towards them. The aim of this club is to help children to be well behaved in social settings, encourage courteous behaviour and give respect to peers, teachers and family members.The children indulge in the activities like role play, just a minute, discussions, story writing, story reading, making a hand tree and writing the golden rules on how to behave in the school and at the public places, learning table manners, designing the table mat, setting the table, table ware, use of napkins, maintaining a rule book, mock telephonic interactions and visit to MAF Restaurant.Puppet Making Club and Origami ClubTeacher In- charge: Smt. Renu BhatnagarPuppets make wonderful teaching tools for the classroom as well as for the wider community. The club endeavours to develop students' creative skills by using their imagination and creativity. During the club sessions, students learnt to make hand puppets, finger puppets, wooden spoon puppets, bottle and plate puppets, socks puppets, bee, dog, fox, doll etc. origami flowers (lotus, tulip, rose), origami dog, fish, fan, frog, peacock, rabbit etc.
The members also enacted a story in the puppet theatre using voice modulation according to the character of the story.

Meghna SharmaThe objective of the club is to inculcate scientific attitude, provide opportunities for the development of the constructive, explorative, investigating skills and also to develop student's interest and participation in practical applications of the knowledge related to science.
The members of the club conducted many experiments like observing stomata in leaves under microscope, how air moves from high pressure to low pressure, making slime, writing with an invisible ink, making models of volcano, making double bubble with soapy water, trapping rainbows by different materials etc.
Spell Well Club
Teacher In-charge: Smt. Sumona GuptaSpelling helps reading. Learning to spell helps to cement the connection between the letters and their sounds and improves both reading and writing. The objective of the Spell-Well Club is to introduce children to interesting alternative activities to enhance their skill. Through these activities, children not only get better at their spelling skills but also improves their vocabulary and comprehension.
During the Spell -Well Club lessons students enriched their word bank through word games like scrabble, word chains, word collage etc. and enjoyed the learning. Many hands-on activities like Headline, Words in Words , Pyramid Writing and Word Search also helped the children learn spelling as well as their meanings.
Western and Indian Vocal Club (Jr.)
Teachers In-charge: Smt. Mridula Pal and Smt. Susan Foote The club involves the students as active participants, integrating music into all aspects of the curriculum. Group musical participation reinforces the messages of peace, unity and love towards nature. The students get the sense of rhythm, melody, appreciate a good song and learn to sing in co-ordination. They experience and respond to music of various styles, including Western and Indian classical music.
The members of the club learn and sing along karaoke and musical instruments. They are prepared to perform on special occasions like Earth Day, Peace Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Christmas.
Western Instrumental Music( Jr.)
Teachers In-charge: Sh. Dhanna Lal and Sh. Shubham KeenjaThe members of this club were introduced to different parts of the drum and learnt the following beats-Waltz , March , Disco and Soul.
They were also introduced to the various parts of a guitar and keyboard, they practised minor and major scales and played simple tunes, melodies and song tunes.
Yoga
Teacher In -charge: Smt. Ritika SharmaThe aim of the club is to enable the students to have good health, attain higher level of consciousness, self discipline and self control.
Children practiced different asanas like Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Sukhasna, Surya Namaskaar, Shavak Asana, Baddha Konasana Yoga (Bound Angle Pose),Eagle Twist Yoga Posture, Pranayama and Om chanting.
They displayed a few yogic exercises on the Sports Day and the International Peace Day.

International Festivals
Earth Day
The celebration of the International Earth Day arouses sensitivity towards their environment and love towards our Mother Nature. Children of Classes Nursery to V celebrated the Earth Day on April 20, 2019 through several educational and fun activities. A special assembly was conducted to make the children aware of the dire need of conserving the environment. The activities included nature walk, skits, poem recitation, reusing waste material to make useful items and writing slogans.
Songkran
The children from Nursery to Class II celebrated the Thai Water Festival on 2nd May 2019.
The children heard the stories related to the festival. They were dressed in traditional Thai dress, enjoyed themselves, getting wet and drenched in water and prayed for good rains.
International Peace Day
A special assembly was conducted for the students of classes Nursery to V on the occasion of Peace Day on 20th September 2019. The students highlighted the importance of Peace Day, the meaning of unconditional sharing and commitment of love. A small skit, dance, peace day songs were presented in order to promote peace, tolerance and respect for children all over the world. The little ones from classes Nursery to II came dressed in white to spread the message of peace.
Japanese Week
Japanese Week was celebrated by the children of classes Nursery to II from July 22 to July 26, 2019.
Throughout the week the children got familiar with the Japanese Culture
through various activities like colouring the national flag of Japan, learning facts about Japan, its capital city, flora-fauna, location, climate, currency, eminent personalities and art and craft.
They got to know more about this distant land through power point presentations, puppet shows, storytelling sessions, dressing up in Japanese costumes and tasting the Japanese cuisine.
The children read many Japanese folk tales throughout the week and learnt about different elements of folktales, setting scenes, characters, dresses, dialogues and different parts of a story.
Thanksgiving Day
The children of classes Nursery, LKG, UKG , I and II celebrated the Thanksgiving Day on 18th October 2019. Almost every culture in the world has celebrations of thanks for plentiful harvest. Thanksgiving festival is an American festival celebrated in the month of October.
The celebration of the festival included the following activities- presenting thanksgiving cards to the people who work in the school (Support Staff ), art and craft work, thematic worksheets, storytelling, music and dance. The children got eatables for others. They laid the food items on the table and after offering prayers, they distributed them to the Support Staff and sent the remaining food items for charity. They experienced the joy of giving and thanking others for their good work.
Collaborative Project with John M. Carras Kindergarten Athens, Greece
The students of classes Pre primary, I and II come face to face on Skype with the students of the partner school in Greece on pre decided days and shared their experiences about the celebration of the national and international festivals and international weeks. Share photographs, their Art and Craft work through e-mails.
The Skype session was organised for the students of classes I and II on November 8, 2019. The students of both the schools exchanged folk tales and songs on the theme -Friendship.
They also enacted the stories using colourful props. Both the schools exchanged an interactive question - answer session whereby gaining an insight into each

International Mela
The students of Classes III- V celebrated internationalism by organising an International Mela ( Fair) on 15th Mar 2019. The activity included the study of nearly 20 countries across the globe. The children got familiar with the location, physical features, flora-fauna, tourist places, monuments, costumes, food, art and craft and other aspects of the rich culture of the countries.
Exchange of Letters and Greetings with students of St. Ives, North Primary School Sydney, Australia.
The students of classes IV- V exchanged letters and cards with the children of St. Ives, North Primary School Sydney, Australia. The children of both the sides shared the information about themselves, their country, cultures and the various festivals celebrated.
International Weeks and Festivals
Children in the Primary and Pre-Primary celebrate several festivals which allow them to acquire a global perspective. This year some of these celebrations included the Earth Day, May Pole Day, International Peace Day, Halloween and Russian Week.
Visit to FEG, Stuttgart, Germany
A group of 18 students and 2 teachers went to FEG, Stuttgart in June 2019. They also visited Rome, Switzerland and Austria.

Ivan EverettThe students read the weather report making a comparison between the maximum and minimum temperatures, humidity and rainfall of Ajmer with that of Stuttgart (Germany) on a daily basis. During the monsoons, the students also record the amount of rainfall received at Mayoor School every day. The above mentioned information is recorded and read out in the morning assembly.Cleanliness DrivesOur school organizes Cleanliness Drives at various locations within the city every Wednesday in the C.C.A lesson to create awareness regarding cleanliness and its benefits. Recognising the vital role that students can play in spreading awareness about cleanliness, the school has formulated a comprehensive syllabus which has been included in the yearly planner of all the subjects. Activities are planned and executed to that end throughout the year.The initiative has entered its fourth year with enthusiastic participation by all the students and staff. This year too, members of the different C.C.A. Clubs visited several locations in the city to play their part in making Ajmer safer and healthier. Community Outreach Programme
The school constantly endeavours to sensitise the Mayoorites towards their societal responsibilities and engages them so that they can realise how contribution in their little ways can bring radical changes in their immediate community. This helps them to realize that they are able to make useful contributions to society through service and social action.And for that purpose, every year the school strives to reach out to society through various efforts and means.
The revenue generated by the stalls set up at the Mayoor Fete, Rs. 2,00,550/- donated to Badhir Bal-Vikas Samiti, Ajmer (Badhir Vidhyalay).
School Brass Band
Teacher In charge: Sh. Sharif Mohammed
The students of the school band play various instruments like cymbals, euphonium, trumpet, coronet, trombone and the drums at various occasions such as the Annual Athletic Meet, Annual Prize Giving and National Festivals.
School Publications
The School Magazine 'The Mayoorite' is an annual feature while 'MayoorPankh' is the Newsletter published every two months.

The website of Mayoor, www.mayoorschool.org, is regularly updated with the help of the school's I.T. Department. The school's Facebook page is also promptly updated with all the latest happenings at the school.
Summer School
XVI Mayoor Summer School was held from 6th to 25th May for a variety of activities like Art and Craft, Music, Dance, Computers and Games and Sports, including Horse Riding. A total of 600 Mayoorites and their kin from other schools attended the camp to utilise the summer vacation constructively.
Blood Donation
The XI Mayoor Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised in August and through this camp, 45 units of blood were donated by the parents and the school staff.
School Council
The School Council continues to play an important role in the school with regular meetings which are recorded in the form of minutes. In the monthly meetings,

deliberations are held on various policy issues connected to the school. This body comprises elected representatives of every section and a girl representative from every class starting from Class VI onwards. Class V nominates 4 members representing the Junior School. The Principal is the Chairperson and the Vice Principal, 3 nominated teachers, Administrative Officer and the Head Boy and the Head Girl are members.
Treks on Kalyanipura Hills
Trekking remains an integral part of the Mayoor calendar with students from classes IX onwards, accompanied by teachers, including the Exchange Delegation from FEG, Germany, trekking on the Kalayanipura Hills.
Educational Tours and Excursions
This year, from 16th to 28th of March, a total of 226 Mayoorites - accompanied by 24 teachers -went on Educational tours and Excursions (Class VI onwards) to places like, Kempty Fall, Chail, Jim Corbett National Park, Chopta and Nagtiba. Such tours instil the spirit of adventure and build the confidence of the students. Classes IV and V went to Bikaner and Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh respectively in November 2019.
Merit cum Means Scholarships
Merit cum Means scholarships worth Rs 16,29,000/- were given away to 63 students from classes III to XII this year. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Brigadier J.P. Singh, Cdr, 12 Arty Bde.
Mayoor Fete
Every year around Children's Day, the school organises a Fete for the students with an array of games, rides and eatables. This year, the Fete was organised on the 17th of November.
StarTalk Hindi Programme
The annual Hindi Star Talk programme with the Kean University, United States continued into its 8th year. It was held from 29th July to 16th August and the topic this time around was "Environmental Challenges in India". 6 students from Mayoor School shared their views and researched opinions about the topic with 15 students of Kean University via Skype, including references to the progress made so far and how more can be done.
�A programme on 'Electoral Literacy' presented by The SDM, Ajmer on 15th January 2019 was attended by students of class XI.
�A session by Ms. Jo Carnege, representative from TOLFA (Tree of Life For Animals) was conducted that sensitized the students towards animals.
�A 7 day Dokhra craft (Metal casting by lost wax) was conducted by artisans from Bastar for classes VIII to XII, Staff and Parents from 8th to15th April, 2019.
�A planetarium show was organised for the students of classes IV to VII on 15 and16th April 2019.
�15 Mayoorites attended an 'Educational Technology Summit' held at Mayo College. The two day workshop included sessions on Design- Thinking, LEGO Robotics and STEM, Mindbox 3D Design, Apple, Go Google, Picture Paathshala and Tinkering.
�A talk on Cyber Safety delivered by Mr. Rakshit Tandon (Cyber Security Consultant- Internet and Mobile Association of India) at Mayo College was attended by 43 students on 21st April, 2019.
�The Medical Students’ Association of India (a Non Profit Organization) conducted an activity - 'Post - Don't Roast' to create awareness on Anti - Bullying Laws, provide credible solutions and highlight detrimental consequence of cyber bullying on 10th October, 2019, for the students of class IX.
�A talk on Thalassemia was conducted by a Non Religious Social Service organization - Mahavir International on 7th November, 2019 for classes XI and XII.
�Shri Deepak Sharma an eminent freelance photographer and Shri Rishi Raj Singh an environmentalist visited Mayoor School during CCA lesson on 13th November, to deliver a talk on Ajmer’s Heritage and Bird Watching at Anasagar Lake respectively, for INTACH Club members.
�A talk on Personality Development through Yoga was organized by Vivekanand Kendra Kanyakumari for the students of Classes IX and XI. Shri Deepak Khaire, Project Coordinator for Vivekanand Kendra, conducted the workshop in which effective learning methodologies were discussed.
�Four students attended a three day C.B.S.E. Science Exhibition at Maheshwari Public School, Jaipur form 21st - 23rd November 2019.
