90 barrel mixing vats
with Invert Diesel
Drilling Fluid
Mixing valves to load
from the vats to the
mud pumps
ProOne Downhole
Drilling Fluid drums
emptied into the vats
Results:
Cooled the pumps by +30°
Helped reduce fluids that were
bypassing the seals within
hours.
Mixing the ProOne Downhole Drilling
Fluid into the cooling pumps
ROP increases to 239’ per hour from 48’ ROP by
adding 4 drums (5%) of the ProOne DownHole
Drilling Fluid to the Invert Diesel Drilling Fluid at 6,259.72’
After the ProOne Downhole Drilling Fluid
is out of the system, the ROP returns to
the 48’ per hour ROP with the Invert
Diesel Drilling Fluid at 8,269.42’

Newfield Test Results
1/19/2011
• The torque was in the 12,000 to 13,000 range
and gradually reduced to the 10,000 to 11,000
range approximately 20 minutes after ProOne
hit the bit.
• Torque reductions and pressure continues to
drop using the ProOne Drilling Fluid
Results
The Newfield company man quoted:
“This is the first time they have been able to complete a
lateral of this length with only one mud motor and one
bit….saving a trip out, a mud motor and a bit.”
Completed 6000’ lateral without tripping the line.
• Same drill bit!
• Same mud motor!
• 25% faster!

Savings
based on a 30-day month
Based on proven results we have seen to date in North Dakota, the following cost savings
can be expected in a typical well with the use of ProOne Drilling Fluid.
We have used conservative numbers that we believe are not only achievable but will in
most cases be exceeded. Savings are based on a 30-day month.
Savings:
20% increase in R.O.P. (Rate of Penetration)
= 6 days @ $80,000 per day = $480,000
1 trip for the vertical = 1 day @ $80,000 per day = $80,000
1 trip for the lateral = 1 days @ $80,000 per day = $80,000
2 drill bits @ $25,000 ea = $50,000
2 mud motors @ $7,000 = $14,000
Total savings = $704,000
Directions
18 drums in an 800 barrel system
@ $2,150 per drum = $38,700
Less replaced Lateral Lube III drill lubricant
= 24 drums @ $1,200 = $28,800
Net incremental cost to use ProOne Drilling
Fluid = $38,700-$28,800 = $9,900 total cost
ROI = $704,000-$9,900
= $694,100 net savings
(not counting drill string repair savings)
Directions
Mix at a ratio of 5% to the volume through
slug pit concentration, then treat the entire
pit at 3%.
