A voice-over Internet protocol (VoIP)
system uses the Internet to provide a
business with telecommunications
services. Consumers can view VoIP
as a cost-effective way of using the
Internet-based connection to operate
a large telephone system.
The argument is easy to make for having
one Internet service and then leveraging
VoIP to operate multiple phone lines and
virtual phone numbers and manage them
through a single dashboard. What it boils
down to is cost. A company simply
needs to decide how much to spend on
a large virtual phone system. If your
company already operates computer
servers and continuous Internet access,
the switch to VoIP is easy, and your
decision is more about choosing a
provider with an acceptable rate that
will service the number of phone
lines you need.
Examining Your Package Options
There are many different providers
of VoIP services offering a range of
packages, depending on the size of your
business and the nature of your virtual
phone service needs. VoIP is a good
way to access local and long distance
telephone capabilities, voicemail, and
caller ID and add other services such
as teleconferencing, voicemail to email
services, high-speed Internet, and
telephone-based ordering. In fact, VoIP
providers can offer many combinations
of these options and more for a single
price, helping your company manage
your costs and scale up or scale down
based on changing business needs.

3 Amazing IoT Devices That
Will Transform The Workplace
It is estimated that by 2020, more than 20 billion intelligent devices will be
connected to the internet, collecting and exchanging large amounts of data
about our everyday lives. The Internet of Things (IoT) is quickly becoming
the next technological revolution, and it's making our homes, offices and
cities smarter, safer and more efficient.
1. iSmartAlarm
iSmartAlarm is one of the most advanced smart security systems available at
the moment and it consists of cameras, motion sensors, touch sensors, sirens
and smart switches, all of which can be controlled and monitored through a
simple app. The iSmartAlarm system comes with sound recognition, 2-way
audio, night vision and motion detection. The brain of the system, Cube One,
controls all the other devices and triggers an 110 dB alarm in case of an
emergency.
2. Netatmo Welcome Facial Recognition Camera
Netatmo Welcome is a facial recognition camera that can alert you and take
photos and videos when employees or strangers enter or leave the building.
The Netatmo Welcome can be connected to security devices and programmed
to arm or disarm alarm systems. The outdoor version of this device, Netatmo
Presence, is a security camera with infrared that can detect people, cars and
animals and send notifications in real time, allowing you to constantly monitor
your home or office and prevent loitering and break-ins.
3. Cube Sensor
Cube Sensor is a small device
that fits in the palm of your
hand. Each cube is equipped
with sensors that measure air
quality, humidity, temperature,
noise levels, and atmospheric
pressure to give you an incredibly
detailed analysis of your environment. You can find out if your room or office is
healthy by shaking the cube, which will cause it to glow, the color reflecting the
indoor health. Cube Sensor alerts you when the noise or pollution levels are too
high, or when light levels in your office are decreasing and you need to turn on
the lights.
The office of the near future will be dramatically changed by the Internet
of Things. Automatic security systems will be more efficient at preventing
break-ins, and at the same time make it easy for employees to access buildings.
Smart light switches will know when someone enters or leaves a room, helping
companies saves large amounts of energy. Coffee machines that allow users to
brew their coffee from their smartphone and automatically reorder supplies when
running low will make breaks more enjoyable and save precious time and
resources.

XPERTECHS RANKED AMONG TOP 501 MANAGED SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR
XPERTECHS ranks among the world’s most

(MSPs), for a third straight year, according to
Penton Technology’s 9th-annual MSP 501 list
and study. The top MSP 501 companies ranked
this year include organizations from around the world and from diverse technology and business
backgrounds.
The 2016 MSP 501 list is based on data collected by MSPmentor and its partner, Clarity Channel

VoIP—One Provider For Multiple Benefits
Where You Save
It’s convenient to use an Internet-based phone system for your
business telephone needs. There are many advantages, but a few
stand out as most important in terms of cost.
1. By using a VoIP phone, you don’t have to invest in a private
branch exchange (PBX) system. This requires connecting multiple
phone lines to a traditional switchboard system that is serviced by
your local telephone company.
2. If you already have a Local Area Network (LAN) for your business
computers to connect to each other and to the Internet, you have
the technology in place for using VoIP software. Through Internet
telephony, users in your business make multiple phone calls across
the same LAN data connection via a digital packets based system.
3. Your business does not experience a loss of telephone system
operations when inclement weather affects local telephone lines.
You can get a satellite-based Internet connection and keep calls
going in and out of your business 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. Or you can automatically have your phone lines forwarded
to an alternate number or cell phone. You can also use the same
data connection to add more phone lines to your VoIP system,
ideal for businesses with fluctuating staff levels.
Before you select an Internet-based virtual phone system contact
XPERTECHS to compare the different providers of VoIP software.
Every provider offers different packages. If you look at how many
phone lines you need and how many services you will use, you can
choose the package that is right for you. Additionally, you can request
that a company customize your rates to your business needs.

SHINY NEW GADGET
OF THE MONTH
Microsoft recently announced the release of the SharePoint mobile app for iOS. Now you can take
your intranet with you. Stay connected to important content, sites, portals and people easily and
effectively while on-the-go.
The SharePoint mobile app works with SharePoint Online in Office 365. Once you download the app
on your iPhone, you will be prompted to login using your SharePoint credentials. Once you are logged
in, you can use the Sites tab to view a list of your most frequented sites. Simply click on a site to view
the most recent activity, files and site assets. The SharePoint mobile app also links to other Office
apps. So if you click on a recent Office document, you will be taken to the corresponding Office mobile
app.
The Links tab in the app takes you to a list of sites and portals
programmed for everyone in your company to see. This list can
be curated by your SharePoint admins using the SharePoint Home
in Office 365.
The People tab gives you insight to what the people you work with
are working on. You can find, browse and view contact cards for
your colleagues using this tab. And the robust Search tab allows
you to search for clean results across your entire intranet.
Mobile applications for Android and Windows Universal users are
expected to release before the end of the year.

WELCOME OUR NEWEST XPERCARE CLIENT
DIRSKA & LEVIN, LLC
FULTON, MD
XPERTECHS is pleased to announce the
law office of Dirska & Levin, LLC as its
newest XperCARE customer.
Dirska & Levin understands that their clients
want the right balance of thoroughness and
efficiency. For every claim they defend,
they tailor the approach not only to the
specific facts of the claim, but to the needs
of their client.
XPERTECHS will design and implement a
new Proactive IT support system using our
XperCARE Managed Service.
Your business success is driven by the
relationships with your customers.
Keeping track of your interactions with
all of the people in your business life can
be difficult unless you have the right tools.
A customer relationship management
(CRM) program can help you manage all
aspects of your relationships, from initial
contacts through repeated sales. A CRM
solution allows you to quickly and easily
find the right information about a client
when you need it.
Here are the top five reasons for using a
CRM solution, no matter what size your
business is.
1. Tracking Contacts - You're
preparing for a meeting with a reg-
ular client. Do you remember when
your last meeting was? Do you have
notes from that meeting? How about
that meeting two years ago? With a
CRM system, all of this information
is at your fingertips. Instantly pull
together information on all of your
past interactions with your client and
dazzle him with your "memory".
2. Developing Marketing Campaigns -
Your marketing approach certainly
depends on where in the sales cycle
each of your customers is located.
A CRM system can help you to
quickly categorize your customers
into the different stages of the sales
cycle, allowing you to tailor your
marketing strategy to that segment
of your customer base.
3. Cross-Selling - A CRM system can
track what products your customer is
buying, and provide you with sugges-
tions on what products you should
now be marketing to that customer.
4. Information Sharing - When a
CRM platform can be accessed
by your whole team, everyone
has access to the same information.
You no longer have to rely on a
co-worker digging up notes from
a meeting months ago so you can
get up to speed on a customer.
5. Customization - Many industry-
specific CRM solutions exist that
can provide some targeted benefits
to your business. A real-estate agency
has vastly different customer needs
and interactions than a financial
services company. Selecting a
customized solution will give your
business a leg up in your industry.
A CRM software solution can provide
benefits to business of any size, from
sole-proprietorships to large corporations.
Keeping track of your customer relation-
ships is a key part of your business
success, and a CRM system can help
you succeed.
