Sublimaon Instrucons Mason Jar (Clear Glass) - XP9100 Using a constant temperature mug press: 1. Set the temperature of the press to 390 degrees and the time to 4 minutes. Adjust the pressure to light-medium. Too much pressure could break the item. 2. Trim your printed image to approximately 3” x 8.75”. Remove the lid and straw from the item. Secure the image in place using heat tape. 3. Cover the item with a second piece of standard copy or blowout paper that’s the same size or slightly larger than the printed image. Secure this with heat tape as well. 4. Place the item in the mug press. Close the press and start the sublimation cycle. 5. After the allotted time, carefully remove the item from the press. Set the item on a counter. DO NOT immerse the item in water as this will shatter the glass. The transfer paper can be removed once it is cool enough to handle. Using a variable temperature mug press: 1. Using the directions for your mug press, set the “idle” temperature to approximately 220 degrees, the maximum “print” temperature to 350 degrees and the timer for 15 seconds. Adjust the pressure to light-medium. Too much pressure could break the item. 2. Prepare your item as you would for a constant temperature mug press. See steps 2-5 above. Using a convection oven and a mug wrap: 1. Set your oven temperature to 400 degrees. 2. Prepare your mug as in steps 2 & 3 above. 3. Attach the mug wrap and place the item upside down on the middle oven rack. 4. Heat for 12-15 minutes. Carefully remove the item from the oven and set on a counter to cool. DO NOT immerse the item in water as this will shatter the glass. The transfer paper can be removed once the item is cool enough to handle. NOTE: Attempting to remove the transfer before the item has cooled could cause “scratch marks.
