that a device can deliver is a critical

Output Speed

Measured in pages-per-minute (ppm), a

devices output speed is specifed or both

color and black-and-white pages.

First-pae-out Time

For average print jobs o three pages or less,

the most important specifcation is frst-page-

out time, which is the time it takes or the

device to receive and process print or copy

data, and produce the frst page.

Adobe PostScript 3

PostScript is a page description language

that acts as an interpreter inside the printer

or multiunction printer. Because processing

occurs within the device, there is less network

PCL

PCL (Printer Command Language) is a page

description language that unctions in similar

fashion to that of Adobe PostScript. Most

meet ENERGY STAR standards? Does it have

In 2007 and 2008, Xerox was named

to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index

for North America. In addition, we were

picked by an independent research frm,
