+1~-6dBm, it will ensure the output level won’t change. When
input optical power ≥+1dBm or ≤-6dBm, optical AGC function
isn’t in control.
5. Schematic Diagram
Optical receiver test
The machine should be good grounding (grounding
resistance less than 4 Ω).
The machine power supply can be offered by four RF
output and AC60V input port.
According to power supply requirement in the network,
insert RF power supply controller(ACP1,ACP2,ACP3 and ACP4)
into the corresponding position(OUT1, OUT2, OUT3 and OUT4).
The user could configure power supply pass over RF port
according to the real situation.
Optical AGC range of this machine is +2 ~ -7dBm. The
output level won’t change as long as the optical power in this
range.
After power supply, when the input optical power, then a
row of the power indicator light will directly display the current
input optical power.
According to the electrical level(TV signal) requirement
designed in network, adjust attenuation and equalization. FOR.
ATT1 and FOR.EQ1 simultaneously controls the equalization of
RF output port 1-2; FOR. ATT2 and FOR.EQ2 simultaneously
controls the equalization of RF output port 3-4. So every mixed
RF output port meet network requirement.
When optical receiver range is +2 ~ -7dBm, the output
electrical level is stable, the use don’t need to adjust it again. The
maximum electrical level of this hybrid master is 108dBuv, it’s
suitable to use in the new CATV bi-directional network. The
allowance will be high if providing too high electrical level. For
example, there are about more 100 subscribers under one optical
receiver, every RF port support about more 30 subscribers, the
electrical level is about 75dBuv, the allowance still is high in this
situation. If the electrical level of optical receiver is too high, it
will affect IP data(MER,BER,etc.). We advice the electrical level
don’t be more than 108dBuv.
The engineer need test the equipment according to this
manual. This hybird master use plug-in attenuation and
equalization design, so it is convenient to test for the engineer.
