SURVEYBefore Installation of an XDM equipment, one should check the following.

Check whether the rack is firm & the witdh is 21 Inches or 19 InchesAvailability of Power Supply of -48V DC (-40V to -75V DC) & MCB should be required as followsMake sure that Grounding is available on the Rack.Temperature of the room should be cool enough to keep the equipment stable (15'C to 22'C)Check for availability of space in the rack.

Prepare the installation site & Check the physical location, environmental compliance, and availability of power sourcesPrepare power, alarm, management and transmission cables at the installation site. Commissioning Procedure:-

1)      Insert NVM adaptor (with NVM) or NVM in PCMCIA slot in your Laptop.2)      Select the DriverèOpenèCtrl+AèShift+Delete.3)      Right Click driverèProperties( Used space should be Zero)4)      Click NVM Loader icon (XWFP) Current version 7.02.5)      Click Addè Embedded Version NameèBrowse the path.6)      Select the drive, check mark use PCMCIA, Expand Tree & Auto Compare.7)      Click Start.8)      After loading Embedded (There is no errors) messages comes.9)      Stop the drive and remove it from laptop.10)  Repeat the same if we are using two MXC 100 card.11)  Insert the NVM in the MXC-100 card slot NVM.12)  Remove one MXC-100card from card gauge.13)  Power ON XDM 100.(MCB must be 20 A)14)  Wait still system gets boot.(Only Active LED must be there)

17) Check ping response (StartèRunèping 192.9.90.1 –t).

1)      User Name: xdm, Password: xdm2)      Click Log in.3)      Click install.4)      Put IP configuration Settings IP address, NE ID, System Title, System Location, Equipment type (XDM 100/XDM1000 etc).

a.       IP Configuration.                                                              i.      DCC Only NE.                                                            ii.      Ethernet Only NE.                                                          iii.      Gateway Only NE

b.      NE ID :- Last two Values of DCC IP(E.g.:-If DCC IP is 192.9.72.1, NE ID : 721 or last four digits, e.g.:- 192.9.122.155 NE ID: 22155)

5)      System will get reboot, wait for some time.6)      System will take IP address only, again put System title, system location etc.

24) DCC termination, Terminate all the Optical port with MSDCC (or RSDCC as requirement by customer)

Repeat the same for all SAM or SIM Cards.

E1 testing

Click the è Set PC Time ( The XDM 100 will set its own time as it is in your laptop's current time)7)      Click Shelf view è Assign all the cards.8)      Right click ECU card and assign expected type to actual type.9)      Right click FCU card and assign expected type to actual type.10)  Right click A1 slot èAssignèSelect the expected type matches to actual type.

a.       SAM 16_1, SAM 4_2.11)  Repeat the same for A2, B1 and B2.12)  Right click A1 slotsèAttributesèApplication codeèselect expected type.

a.       Eg: - L3, L5 or S3 matches with actual type.13)  Assign I1 slot if output cards is inserted there.14)  Repeat the same for I/O slots if cards were inserted.(I1 to I8 Slots)

15)  Right click SAM 16_1 èDCC AllocationèSelect MS or RS èConnect.16)  Repeat for all the optical cards and all the ports.17)  Logout.18)  Insert MXC 100 in B Slots.19)  Wait still card gets properly booted.20)  LoginèRight click MXC 100 AèDB SynchronizeèEquipment ProtectionèLockout releases.21)  Logout èHard ResetèWait for some time.22)  Right click MXC 100 A è Switch Over.23)  Check for alarms.

 Right Click on SAM or SIM Cards èDCC TerminationèSelect MS & connect (Select RS if the customer are using RS DCC)
