TRAILER REQUIREMENTS
A trailer image (1920x1080 PNG) – Screen capture from the trailer or game. No titles, logos or marketing text.
3 trailer versions (ESRB, PEGI, and Unrated) – Rated trailers must include appropriate age rating display from corresponding regions.
A default title used across selected cultures (localized titles are optional).
All trailers must conclude with the 3-second Xbox One mnemonic.
The 3-second Xbox One mnemonic is available in both PC and MAC formats. If you are unable to access RAD or the following link takes you to a

TRAILER ENCODING SPECS
Xbox One Store ONLY supports streaming trailers. Please use one of the following encoding specs. Once uploaded, the native file will be encoded by
XDP to maximize SmoothStreaming.
MOV MP4
Video: o 1080p ProRes (HQ where appropriate). o Native framerate; 29.97 FPS preferred.
Audio: o Stereo required. o Recommended Audio Level: -16 LKFS/LUFS.
For H.264 Mezzanine files the following is recommended: o Container: MP4. o No Edit Lists (or you may lose AV sync). o moov atom at front of file (Fast Start).
Audio Codec: AAC-LC. o Channels: Stereo or surround sound. o Sample rate: 48 KHz. o Audio Bitrate: 384 KB/s for Stereo, 512 KB/s for surround sound.
Video Codec: H.264. o Progressive scan (no interlacing). o High Profile. o 2 consecutive B frames. o Closed GOP. GOP of half the frame rate. o CABAC. o 50 MB/s. o Color Space: 4.2.0.
Frame rates
Frame rates should match the source material. For example, content shot in 24 FPS should be encoded and uploaded at 24 FPS. Content shot at
720p60 should be uploaded at 720p60. Content shot at 1080i60 should be deinterlaced, going from 60 interlaced fields per second to 30
progressive frames per second before uploading.

NAVIGATING TO GAME TRAILER PAGE
Navigate to your product page, either by clicking the product's name on its product group page or by searching for it in the top-right search box.
Navigate to the Game Trailer page by clicking Game Trailer from the left navigation menu.
Note Trailers can only be uploaded on the base product page. All trailers for the product, including those for DLC and add-ons, should be uploaded here

ADDING A NEW TRAILER
From the Game Trailer page, click “Add new trailer” to access the new trailer form.

Complete Steps 1-4
NOTE: When selecting cultures in Step 2, only ESRB cultures should be selected for ESRB-rated trailers, PEGI regions for PEGI-rated trailers, and
unrated regions for unrated trailers.

LOCALIZED TITLE STRINGS
Step 1: The default title string is used across selected cultures.
Step 2: Localized title strings for selected cultures will override the default title.

TRAILER ENCODING
Click save to initiate the encoding process. XDP will validate dimensions and video specs. Encoding can take up to 2 hours.
Once encoding has completed, the preview player will appear.
TRAILER ENCODING ERRORS
If you receive an error indicating issues processing your trailer file (example below), click the “Retry” button. If retrying continues to fail after 3
or more attempts, please contact [email protected] for support.

SUBMITTING FOR RETAIL
To publish the trailer to the Game Detail Page (GDP), it will first have to go through ARTCert review.
Before submitting, ensure the video was encoded correctly by playing the video. If you are happy with the playback, submit for review.
Approved trailers will go to RETAIL (Xbox One Store) the next time your catalog is published.
NOTE: If your trailer is embargoed, DO NOT submit for approval until your embargo lifts. This will ensure your trailer does not get published
early.

EDITING A TRAILER
You can edit the metadata (titles, cultures) and trailer image when the trailer is in a “Not Submitted” or “Rejected” state.
Trailer files, once saved, cannot be changed or edited.
To update a trailer file, you must submit it as a new trailer, and then delete your outdated trailer.
NOTE: Changes made to published trailers will not go live in the Xbox One Store until your catalog is republished.

DELETING A TRAILER
If you would like to delete your trailer or remove it from the Xbox One Store, simply click the trash icon next to the title on your product’s
trailer page.
No confirmation is presented after clicking the trash icon; your trailer will be permanently deleted. There can also be a delay when deleting.
Please allow the page to refresh to ensure the trailer has been deleted.
NOTE: Deleted trailers will not be removed from Xbox One Store until your product is republished.

PUBLISH REQUESTS
Trailer changes (new, edited, or deleted) will not go live in the Store until the catalog is published.
To submit a publish request, a Catalog & Availability workbook must be submitted to the Xbox One Work-On-Behalf-Of (WOBO) Request Portal.
