•OutDry membrane-sets are pre-cut according to upper design and welded along the front and heel connecting lines (no seams, no tape)
•OutDry membrane sets are made ready for use in the OutDry 3D Lamination Machine

• Derivated from the Aerospace industry (diaphragm forming)
• Upper and membrane are sandwiched between 2 silicon diaphragms capable of 8.000 Kg pressure each
• Two formers are operated in alternate way for high productivity (1 pair/minute)

OUTDRY PROCESS STEPS - UPPER
1. The ‘former’ is designed according to upper shape and can fit several sizes and styles by a pneumatic extension device
2. The upper is turned inside-out and positioned on the former3. The membrane-set is placed on the upperm, the hot-melt mesh
layer towards the upper inner surface

OUTDRY PROCESS STEPS - LAMINATION
• The upper is launched inside the lamination chamber where membrane is pressed and heated against the upper for about 15 seconds
• The glue mesh melts achieving a complete adhesion of the membrane to the upper inner face.
• Lamination is completed, upper and membrane are now a unique body

SATRA conclusion: “The increase in weight is due to the absorption of water into the upper of the sample, where Sample A absorbs a far greater amount than Sample B.As a result of this, the wet boot R-values and cold rating values recorded for Sample A are very poor compared to the dry values seen, indicating that this sample becomes thermally compromised with the introduction of water.
The foot would feel more comfortable in Sample B rather than Sample A when wet”.
