XAP/Bridges Choices Planner Interest Profiler
Step-by-Step Guide 1. From any web browser type in the address: http://access.bridges.com
2. At "Student Sign In" page, click SITE ID tab.
3. Input the Site ID 0001236 and Password: cypress then click the [ENTER] key.
4. At the "YOUR TOOLS" section, click on Choices Planner.

5. In the 'WORK" section, click on Interest Profiler.
6. Click Start Answering Questions OR if the students wants to save their results, they can
create (or sign into) a Portfolio at this time.

7. There are 60 questions – the program counts down the questions as they respond so they know where they are at in the questionnaire.
8. Each question begins with: How Would You Like to . . .
Click on one of the options: Like, Not Sure or Dislike. Encourage students to choose like or dislike unless they are unsure what a task means. Students are asked to focus on what they would like to do in the future – not what they are able to do now.

9. When all the questions have been answered, the student will be directed to the Interest Profiler page for Top Interest Areas and this page will show a chart ranking the Interest Areas based on their responses. The top of this page should show 1-3 words out of the following:
Realistic
Investigative
Artistic
Social
Enterprising
Conventional
For example:
10. For each student, record their top interest Holland Code. For the above example, this student’s code would be “AS” representing Artistic and Social interest areas.
