600 kms of marked trails at the heart of a rich and wild nature, off er a variety of outi ngs, from family walks to sporti ng acti viti es for one or more days.

As you will discover the Giffre mountains are a true walker’s paradise. The walker will come across charming villages, beech and pine forests and alpine meadows, plus raging torrents and mountain lakes. He will look out over amazing cliffs and marvel at the spray from the waterfalls.

The various lifts used by skiers in the winter allow a walker or a mountain biker easy access onto the lower slopes overlooking the valley. The hikes from refuge to refuge allow a walker to experience all the emblematic mountain summits : Les Dents Blanches, Le Ruan or even La Chaîne des Fiz.

The new Giffre Tour offers you the chance to discover the valley and its refuges. Comfortable, well-equipped, offering evening meals, bed and breakfast, some are easily accessible by families while others are for more experienced walkers. But the refuge staff are always there to welcome their guests with the warmth and friendliness which characterises the people from these mountains.
