(a)Weekend Holiday Holidays provide a great change to students. They have a great significance not only for students but

A Huge Blessing

A sea generally refers to a large body of salt water, but the term is used in other contexts as well. Most

Nature’s Gift

The mountains, which appear to us so gigantic, are really, compared to the size of the earth, only

small irregularities on the earth’s surface. They have been compared to the wrinkles on the rind of an orange.

All mountains and hills are formed of hard rock otherwise they would long ago have been leveled to flat

plains.

The fragments of rock fall into the valleys, and the smaller ones are carried down by the rushing

Dog – A loyal friend There is a saying, “Dogs are attached to person while Cats are attached to places.” It is very much

Public Transport

In modern life we have to face with many problems one of which is traffic congestion becoming more

serious day after day. It is said that the high volume of vehicles, the inadequate infrastructure and the

irrational distribution of the development are main reasons for increasing traffic jam. The

public transport such as bus, subway or train is not available and its quality is very bad, especially in the

developing countries. Besides, the highway and road network is incapable of meeting the requirement of

increasing number of vehicle. Coping with these difficulties, the government should make an investment in

the traffic faculties, namely, the public transport need improving to become more modern and convenient.

The head offices, the universities or hospitals often locate in the centre of city attracting a heavy flow

of people in rush hour. To handle this situation, the government should allocate suitably, for instance some

Public Transport In the modern world, there are always problems in commuting. These problems arise mainly due to

poor and congested state of roads and too many vehicles in city. People in search of all facilities migrate

from rural areas to cities and therefore people become too few living in rural areas. The

public transport such as bus, subway or train is not available and its quality is very bad, especially in the

developing countries. Besides, the highway and road network is incapable of meeting the requirement of

increasing number of vehicle.

Coping with these difficulties, the government should make an investment in the traffic facilities,

namely, the public transport need improving to become more modern and convenient. In addition, it is

useful to build overpasses and more lanes in the streets. It is necessary to encourage people obey the traffic

rules which will make greatly change the problem of traffic.

Roadways and Transport departments need to work together in order to improve the appalling

conditions of the road. They must also create public awareness in use of road and ensure that the students are

Indian Railways

Railways are the most important means of transportation in present day India. Construction of

railways is dependent on physical factors like topography and climate besides other factors. Railways can be

successfully developed in the plains.

They, however, do not find favour in desert regions. In mountainous areas, the cost of providing this

service is very difficult and a costly proposition because tunnels and bridges are required to be constructed.
