*therefore there are 54.45 kilograms in 120 pounds.

c.) 2.5 gal to liters.

1 gal = 3.79L 2.5 gal = x L x = 2.5 x 3.79 x = 9.475

* Therefore there are 9.475L in 2.5 gallons. d.) 18oz to grams.

1 oz = 28.35 grams 18oz = x grams x = 18 x 28.35 x = 510.3

*Therefore, there are 510.3 grams in 18oz. e.) 6ft to meters.

1 ft = 30.48cm *change ft to cm first, then change cm to m. 6 ft = x cm x = 182.88 cm

1 m = 100 cm x m = 182.88cm x = 1.8288

*Therefore, there are 1.8288m in 6 ft.

f.) 1500 mi to kilometers.

1 mi = 1.609 km 1500mil = x km x = 1.609 x 1500 x = 2413.5

* therefore, there are 2413.5 km in 1500 miles. g.) 2.7 qt to liters.

1 qt = 0.95 L 2.7 qt = x L x = 0.95 x 2.7 x = 2.57

* therefore, there are 2.57 L in 2.7 quarts.

1 cm = 0.3937 inches 58cm = x inches x = 58 x 0.3937 x = 22.8346

* therefore, there are 22.83 inches in 58 cm. b.) 500 mL to fluid ounces.

1 mL = 0.034 fl oz 500mL = x fl oz x = 500 x 0.034 x = 17

* therefore, there are 17 fl oz in 500 mL.

  c. ) 40L to gallons.

1 L = 0.26 gal 40L = x gal x = 40 x 0.26 x = 10.6

* therefore, there are 10.6 gallons in 40 L. d.) 500g to oz. 

1 g = 0.0035 oz 500g = x oz x = 500 x 0.0035 x = 17.5

*therefore, there are 17.5 oz in 500 grams. e.) 40L to quarts.

1 L = 1.06 qts 40 L = x qts x = 40 x 1.06 x = 42.4

*therefore, there are 42.4 quarts in 40 L.

f.) 25.2 kg to pounds.  

1 kg = 2.2 lbs 25.3 kg = x lbs x = 2.2 x 25.3 x = 55.44

* therefore, there are 55.44 pounds in 25.2 kilograms.   g.) 62.75 km to miles.

1 km = 0.6 mi 62.75 = x mi x = 62.75 x 0.6 x = 37.65

* therefore, there are 37.65 miles in 62.75 kilometers.

1.) To convert Fahrenheit (˚F) to Celsius (˚C).  

-32 = x5 = ÷9 =

  Example: Convert 78˚F to ˚C.

  Solution:

78 – 32 = 46 46 x 5 = 230 230 ÷ 9 = 25.5

* therefore, at 78˚F it is 25.5˚C.

 

2.) To convert Celsius (˚C) to Fahrenheit (˚F).  

x 9 = ÷ 5 = +32 =

Example: Convert 20˚C to ˚F.

Solution:

20 x 9 = 180 180 ÷ 5 = 36 36 + 32 = 68

* therefore, at 20 ˚C it is 68 ˚F.
