The outlook for the Brazilian oil and gas industry going for 2013 and beyond is very promising indeed. Crude oil production in Brazil is forecasted to surpass Mexico and Venezuela by 2015 making it the largest crude oil producer in Latin America, thus representing it a very attractive market for oil and gas companies to take advantage of. Pre-salt is a major area of interest while offshore - both deep, ultra deep as well as shallow water continue to boom. There is also a great deal going on in the natural gas sector, interest in LNG installations plus Petrobras’ plans to increase refining capacity.
