Test Administrators• s. 1002.84(3)(b), F.S., allows “district personnel” to

administer statewide assessments (non-certified)• SB Rule is under development – training

requirements for these individuals will not differ from current requirements

• Districts may still require that test administrators be certified educators

• Districts may want to use this flexibility to train test administrators to serve as backups

required• Individuals who will handle/prepare secure

materials must be trained and sign appropriate agreements (as listed in the form)

Handheld Calculators• FDOE will provide an approved list of calculator

models for the 2015–16 assessments by the end of September – FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR ONLY

• Districts are responsible for noting any functionality changes to approved models

• FDOE will not review/approve additional models for the list; however, districts may provide calculators if Mathematics specialists in the district determine that they meet the published specifications

• Handheld calculators are OPTIONAL

Hospital/Homebound students on approved mobile devices

• All CBT setup, security, and policy procedures must be met

• To address bandwidth and security concerns, FDOE recommends the use of a district-provided mobile internet device

• This allowance applies to H/H administrations ONLY – Virtual School or other students may not be administered CBT tests at home

• (1) (d) Each school district shall file in writing with the department all legally sufficient complaints within 30 days after the date on which subject matter of the complaint comes to the attention of the school district. A complaint is legally sufficient if it contains ultimate facts that show a violation has occurred as provided in s. 1012.795 and defined by rule of the State Board of Education.

Special Programs• If possible, schedule special program students during the

regular window instead of the make-up window.• Please remember not to schedule special program

students on the last day of a testing window for two-session assessments because they will not have the opportunity to complete Session 2 or 3 of the test.

• Special program students should be aware of any additional school policies that may impact their ability to test at that school. If a student is not able to meet these policies (e.g., students required to wear a uniform), the district should try to identify a different testing location.
