Technological progress does not stand still, and here it is vital to distinguish between active development of existing technologies and new technologies.
If you look at traditional camera sensor development, and processor development one can see that today it has more megapixels than just a few years ago, and looking at the processor development one can see a strong increase in calculating power.
It creates the big "quantum jump" in development is when a technology hits it possible limit, and we need new technology to reach our target!
Just as the initial quote "The car appeared not as a stepwise development of the horse!"
NEW WAYOLD WAY
In 1994 I got the biggest scolding in my life, “to use my time to see what the Internet could be used for - and got to know very clearly that the internet was only for scientists and geeks and also a big waste of time, so I should not waste my time! "
So I used my spare time to try to understand the potential of this for me new medium!
The Internet has evolved considerably since then!
